Star Wars’ latest Mandalorian retcon feels like setup for a thrilling new TV show

Star Wars‘ Final recon to The Mandalorian Could have come up with a thrilling idea for a new TV show. Star Wars TV shows seem to be winding down, as only three upcoming Star Wars Shows are on the horizon: Skeleton Crew, Andr Season 2, and Ahsoka Season 2. Instead, the franchise seems to be returning its focus to movies, such as the upcoming film The Mandalorian & Grogu. Although Star Wars Seems to be slowing down on TV shows, the franchise may have recently introduced something that would open the door to a new series.

The Star Wars Timeline can often be a bit confusing, mainly because it is so often the subject of major recons and changes. One of the most frequently changed parts of the timeline is the Great Purge of Mandalore, introduced in The Mandalorian. now, Star Wars Outlaws Has changed the date of the cleaning yet again, confirming it a whole year before when Ahsoka indicated that it had happened. Although it may not seem very important, the date of the cleansing of Mandalore is very important to Ahsoka Tano’s story, and it could be important for a potential new one. Star Wars Show.

The new timeline of The Purge of Mandalore means that there were two years when the Galactic Civil War was still raging and Ahsoka didn’t have a Padawan to occupy her time. It seems incredibly unlikely that Ahsoka or Sabine – two women who have spent the majority of their lives fighting against injustice and the Empire specifically – would stay out of the war willingly for two years. What makes that even less likely is the fact that General Hera Syndulla had contact with Ahsoka and Sabine during the war. In essence, there is almost no way Ahsoka and Sabine both missed the war.

Ahsoka Tano’s first time meeting Luke Skywalker was off-screen

Ahsoka Tano and Luke Skywalker in The Book of Boba Fett standing next to each other and looking off into the distance

There is another hole in Ahsoka’s story apart from the last two years of the Galactic Civil War. Ahsoka’s first appearance alongside Luke Skywalker came in The Book of Boba FettBut this was not their first meeting. Ahsoka and Luke had known each other for a long time The Book of Boba FettHowever Star Wars Did not reveal when they first encountered each other. Since The Book of Boba Fett Occurred in 9 ABY, and Ahsoka was training Sabine until 3 ABY at the earliest, there are only six years when the two could have met.

Like Ahsoka’s absence from the Galactic Civil War, the fact that her first meeting with Luke isn’t depicted at all is profoundly strange. Ahsoka was extremely close to Luke’s father, Anakin Skywalker, as she was his Padawan during the Clone Wars. Meeting Luke should have been an incredibly emotional moment, and one that would have been perfect to adapt into a show. Star WarsHowever, chose to leave this pivotal moment unnoticed, and no one knows when exactly Ahsoka met Luke. OutlawsHowever, may have indicated that the franchise is ready to finally show the moment they met.

This could be the perfect setup for the next Star Wars animated TV show

Star Wars Rarely does anything without a purpose, and changing the date of the cleansing of Mandalore does not seem to be an exception. The new date makes it possible for Ahsoka and Sabine to have fought in the Galactic Civil War, and the new comics may indicate that future stories will be set at just the right time to show their involvement. That, along with the fact that Lucasfilm is making a new animated one Star Wars show, could be a hint that they have something big planned for Ahsoka’s first appearance in the war. Star Wars Could depict Ahsoka Tano meeting Luke Skywalker in a new animated TV show.

The day of the cleansing of Mandalore was a headache for years, but it seemed like Ahsoka Finally solved it. OutlawsHowever, ruined that adequate explanation by placing it a year earlier, and it did so by an unnamed storm. One of the few reasons Star Wars If the franchise will set up another story that requires a different timeline, like Ahsoka’s involvement in the Galactic Civil War.. Where could Ahsoka & Luke meet in a new animated show?

If Ahsoka and Luke were to meet in an animated show during the final days of the Galactic Civil War, there are several moments when the meeting would make the most sense. One of these is the post-Return of the Jedi Era. The last year of the Galactic Civil War is such a ripe and unexplored time in galactic history that it could easily be the subject of an entire series. This would also offer some chances for Ahsoka and Luke to meet, such as during the battle of Jakku. Luke is even confirmed to be in the battle of Jakku thanks to an upcoming Star Wars funny.

The third film released and the sixth film chronologically in the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi is a sci-fi epic adventure film that follows the adventures of Luke, Leia, Han and friends as they battle the Empire. Star Wars‘ Decision to depict the battle of Jakku in comic format is also a very promising sign for stories after Return of the Jedi. Only a handful of stories take place between the original and sequel trilogies, viz The Mandalorian And the various spinoffs and some older novels and games about the battle of Jakku. Even if a new animated Star Wars The show doesn’t take place after the Battle of Endor, but there are other ways it could fit into the timeline. Ahsoka’s first meeting with Luke – if it is shown at all – will likely come in a Star Wars Show. It’s too big of a moment to keep only in the comics, and Dave Filoni is notoriously protective of his creations, so he probably wouldn’t let a comic depict such a huge moment. moreover, Star Wars: The Bad Batch was meant to be the end of the Clone Wars era of storytelling, so the next animated show would need a new era. So, a result of The Mandalorian Could be the key to showing how Luke Skywalker met Ahsoka Tano, and to a new one Star Wars Show.

The Mandalorian is set after the Empire’s fall and before the First Order’s emergence in the ever-growing Star Wars universe. The series follows the travels of a lone gunfighter named Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic. Acting as the first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian became incredibly popular on Disney+, in part due to Mando’s relationship with Grogu, who the internet dubbed “Baby Yoda” upon his introduction in season 1.
