As work continues on the highly-anticipated spinoff, the latest news confirms that a new cast member has joined Starfleet Academy. Best known for her starring role in Marvel’s She – Hulk tv series, Tatiana Maslany has been tapped to play an as-yet-unnamed recurring guest role. The news was broken by executive producer Alex Kurtzman at 2024’s New York City Comic Con, where it was also revealed that Starfleet Academy has already scored a season 2 renewal. The announcement comes before the first season even has a premiere date set.

The long-rumored project has finally been confirmed with Alex Kurtzman and Nga Landu directing. as executive producers.
