Although Star Trek: Lower Decks Has its fair share of unusual happeningsthe fact that it is essentially canonical Star Trek parody gives more freedom.
With more members than Star Trek: Voyager cast starting to return in other projects in the franchise, the show has been returning to the public eye recently. For example, Kate Mulgrew returning as Admiral Janeway as part of the Star Trek: Prodigy casting was a great time for Traveler fans – as well as Tim Russ’ brief cameo in Tuvok as part of the Star Trek: Picard season 3 cast. Outside Travelerthe characters experienced somewhat less supernatural adventures, but Star Trek: Lower Decks includes a poignant reminder the kind of things Janeway’s team went through back then.
Star Trek: Lower Decks Shows a Fate Avoided by Captain Janeway’s USS Voyager

The Intrepid-class ship in the nanite bubble at the end of Star Trek: Lower Decksseason 5 episode 3, ‘The Best Exotic Nanite Hotel’, could easily be mistaken for the USS Voyager at first glance. Voyager is by far the most famous Intrepid-class starshipso it can’t be a coincidence that Lower decks chose the category of ship to be found in a scenario that could easily have served as the basis for an episode of Star Trek: Voyager.
Captain Janeway and her crew often faced perceived threats that turned out to be something much less deadly, which is the plot of “Nante’s Best Exotic Hotel” and what the microscopic USS Endeavor is going through. Janeway’s ship being pulled into another universe where everything is much bigger would be a perfect fit for a Star Trek: Voyager script, but Lower decks pays tribute by giving the mini-arc to Captain Tersal (Gillian Vigman) and her small crew.

Not much is known about Tersal’s shipbeyond the nature of the universe from which it came. In short, the reality of Endeavor is much smaller than Star Trekfrom the Prime Universe, and a nearly identical version of Starfleet appears to exist. Captain Tersal’s mission to get her crew home in the face of all the strangeness also brings to mind Janeway’s task, as Mulgrew’s character had no shortage of strange challenges.
The most prominent Star Trek: Voyager The story that would be classified as strange is when Captain Janeway and Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill) evolve into salamander-like creatures and breed in Season 2, Episode 15, “Threshold.” However, an ongoing war with aliens from a fluid dimension (Species 8472), and Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) and Naomi Wildman (Scarlett Pomers) being substitutes for a duplicate Voyager are also among Star Trek: Voyagerthe most eccentric (but compelling) stories that Star Trek: Lower Decks paid tribute.
