Star Karan Oberoi warns that Gabi’s team is “tittering on the brink of destruction” in season 2 conclusion

Found Season 2 premieres on NBC on October 3, picking up after the climactic events of the finale. Not only does Lord escape from Gabby’s basement and abduct Lacey, but the protagonist is forced to come clean to her friends at Moseley and Associates. Whether the team will be able to trust their leader after learning the secret is a question that the new batch of episodes will explore.

However, not everyone was completely in the dark about Gabi’s involvement with her abductor. It is revealed in Found Season 1 That Dan realized, at his friend’s request, that she had killed him. While he was stunned by the full truth, Karan Oberoi shares that his character “doesn’t totally disagree” with Gabi using Lord to find missing people.

Screen Rant interviewed Oberoi about how Dhan’s part in Sir’s kidnapping could further affect the team’s fractured relationship and his character’s dynamic with Zeke in Found Season 2.

The team will find out about Dhan’s involvement in Found Season 2

“This is a family dynamic teetering on the brink of disruption, and Dan’s whole journey is trying to hold it together.”

Dan looks to be left in the season 2 premiere of Found.

Screen Rant: What was your initial reaction when you read the season 1 finale script and discovered the cliffhanger?

Karan Oberoi: I was definitely shocked. I was like, “Oh, he’s out again? This thing is spiraling in another direction.” The show does a very good job of really keeping everyone on their toes, and the fact that Lord can get out is just crazy to me. And then he ended up in Lacey’s house, so that was something that was very, very intriguing, very scary for our audience, definitely.

Then Gabby knew a secret about Harry. She comes clean to the team in the finale, but do they know about Dhan’s involvement?

Karan Oberoi: They will definitely find each other. They will receive more information about Lord’s involvement in solving our cases. They don’t know that right off the bat. It’s a family dynamic that’s teetering on the brink of destruction, and Dan’s entire journey is trying to keep it together. This is his family.

This is a kind of his therapy of his capture, his kidnapping. It’s his therapy for him to be involved in stuff like this to help save others. They still keep their mission base. We are to find the missing people. It’s the front of the show, and we’re still able to do it. However, only in each other, our relationships are definitely changing throughout the season.

Will Dan be in a position where he feels like he has to defend Gabi’s and his own actions?

Karan Oberoi: We know he captured Lord for Gabi, so Dan’s whole thing was, “Let’s just end it. You have a problem with this guy. He kidnapped you. That was horrible. I’m going to get him for You and I will finish it.” And that’s it. The thought was, “We’ll be done with it, and the nightmare will be over.” But since Gabi kept him alive, his whole thing is: “We need to find missing people”. And that’s what he says to her in the last episode. He says, “You do what you have to do to save a life.”

And I think that being in the position of having to be saved, it’s just his barometer to save people, whatever his methods, it’s a little stretched. That’s why he doesn’t completely agree with what Gabi uses here. It’s like, “What works, man. We have to find these people and they need to be found, and if it’s at the cost of using him, it is what it is.” The FBI in certain departments do this. They use the bank robbers and stuff. They would hire them and be like, “You work with us and tell us how to stop bank robbers.” It was very helpful for the team.

Oberoi is excited to see Dhan and Zeke continue to support each other

“What I like about the dynamic between Dhan and Zeke is that they have this bickering relationship, and then it’s just like off.”

What will their friendship look like in season 2? Will then be the person that Gabi can rely on?

Karan Oberoi: Gabi’s character is so strong. She takes on the burden of all the cases, and then her own trauma, and she does some processing. She does break at certain points. He is there for you. I will say that he is definitely there for her, but Gabi, I think, needs to rely on no one.

She powers through things, but he is definitely there for her. He is there for the whole family. He wants everyone to stay together. And that’s the problem we have this season. Will they stay together or not? And that’s kind of the challenge this season.

I also want to ask you about Dawn’s dynamic with Zeke, because I found it really interesting in season 1. How would you say Dawn’s opinion of Zeke has evolved and what will their friendship look like in season 2?

Karan Oberoi: What I like about the dynamic between Dhan and Zeke is that they have this bickering relationship, and then it just goes away. Dan opened up to Zeke during the drug abuse episode and he opened up to him about his own struggles with people in his life having drug abuse issues and his own upbringing and how things reflected on him and the non- Judgment and openness of the reception of Zeke. And Arlen is also like a person.

He is the cast therapist. He is just the most beautiful man on the planet. I love that they solved that quickly, nipped at it, and we got it out, and the two guys now are just there for each other, and that plays out more in the season. Dan is definitely a fan of Zeke. I think they have a great relationship, and I’m even more excited to see where it goes in the following seasons. There’s no kind of problems. They are just there for each other.

Found Season 2 will focus on Margaret’s search for her son

“The first half is Gabrielle with Lacey and Sir, and then we get into Margaret’s story with her son missing.”

Then standing next to Margaret in Found Season 2.

There is still so much we don’t know about Dunn’s past. I feel like there is so much to learn about all of these characters. We need more time in these episodes.

Karan Oberoi: I know. Yes. You are right. But don’t think the show does a great job of that? There are some shows that explain the story in two or three episodes. You’re like, “Oh, wow, okay. We got everything so fast.” NC Margaret’s story this season is the one we’re focusing on.

The first half is Gabrielle with Lacey and Sir, and then we get into Margaret’s story with her son missing. It’s just beautiful. It’s absolutely beautiful how it’s portrayed and everything we unfold about each character’s journey. Intertwined is all of us too. Zeke, himself, Trent. Everyone is there, and it’s just a beautiful unfolding.

Is there a storyline you’d like to see explored for Dan one day?

Karan Oberoi: I didn’t go up to the writers or mention anything. We still have a handful of episodes to shoot, so anything can happen. I am excited for every script that comes. I would definitely like to see more of Dunn’s background, as it was only three years ago that he was kidnapped. That would be a very interesting story to tell and to explore. I think his upbringing, his time in the military and the FBI, and his counterintelligence background.

I took a survey. Arlen said the premiere was his favorite episode of season 2 and Shanola said 12. Which one are you most looking forward to watching?

Karan Oberoi: I haven’t seen anything yet, but I’ll go with 1. I’d like to see how it starts. NK finished us last year, and she’s starting us again this year. I would love to see how this all unfolds. It was a very power-packed episode. It’s just an exciting episode, and I really want to see how this unfolds. Yeah, I’ll go with episode 1.
