The comments for squid game The second season has arrived and they show a particularly divisive response after the huge success of Hwang Dong-hyuk's first season of the dystopian survival thriller. Debuting in 2021, the Netflix series finds Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) in a bloody battle against 400 other oppressed people in a series of children's games for a life-or-death chance at an exceptional cash prize.
Compared to squid game Season 1, which has a critic score of 95% and an audience score of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, the second season of the dystopian horror series lags behind, especially among viewers, with a 90% critical score and 53% audience rating on Rotten tomatoes.
