I knew right away that this physics-based adventure from PHL Team would be a very silly and fun time. With the familiar bright colors and animation style that perfectly matches the feeling of the popular Spongebob Squarepants series, The Patrick Star game Feels like you’re running around in the show itself.

This Spongebob Squarepants Gameplay focuses on Patrick, with players taking control of the jolly friend to compete in challenges and minigames around the area. A day in the life of Patrick can include anything from driving delivery vehicles to hungry citizens of Bikini Bottom or visiting Glove World to ride a roller coaster. Is anyone familiar with these Spongebob Squarepants world or not This game offers an abundance of pure joy and smiles.

Control Patrick Star in this silly physics-based game

Rolling through bikini bottoms feels surprisingly normal

While it certainly doesn’t have the feel of many physics-based games that take the chaotic flopping around to an extreme, The Patrick Star game Has many aspects where physics comes into play. At any point, players can press a button to have Patrick just flop to his side, and players can then roll him anywhere they want to go, which is faster than walking but presents its own comical challenges. However, controlling Patrick while rolling and using the physics aspect of the game is surprisingly smooth and well-balanced, considering.

Most of the time I played, I did not use the rolling feature but chose to walk or drive any of the cars available for Patrick to jump in and control. The physics aspect also comes into play in many minigames, including riding jellyfish or driving delivery vehicles to hungry customers. There are many things that Patrick can equip Which use many of the physics in the game, like trying to fly through the air with some wings and crashing helplessly into the ground instead.

Sadly, sometimes the physics can also present some challenges. Trying to place a ladder against a building became frustratingly difficult, and there were many times when the game seemed to be stuck with Patrick in a constant state of falling despite standing on normal ground. These, and several other issues that came up during gameplay, have been reported Will be corrected with a patch at launchBut it wouldn’t surprise me if more physics-related problems arose.

basically, The Patrick Star game is a series of minigames. There’s no real overarching story campaign to complete, but it really is more of a day in the life of Patrick as he chooses what to do. The map is quite large with different areas to explore, and The variety of minigames keeps things from ever getting boring. Players can spend their time searching for buried treasure in the dump, shooting coconuts at boxes, completing art challenges against Squidward, or pretty much anything anyone can think of.

Personally, my favorite area in the game was the iconic glove world. Here, Patrick can ride the park attractions, including the big rollercoaster, and jump around to each of the traditional carnival-like minigame booths in the area. The whole game is a vibrant and happy experience, however Somehow Glove World makes it even more joyful and I can’t stop smiling The whole time I was in the area.

Fun outfits and extra fits add to the experience

Finding mayo jars and more is a fun extra

Some side objectives in the game are the fits in each of the respective areas around the map. These can include things like finding hidden items, including mayo jars, or achieving high scores in some minigames. Meeting these objectives awards Patrick more sand dollars, and are just extra achievements to shoot for while playing. Finding all the hidden items in each location was a lot of fun for me, though I can see how it could become a bit repetitive or tedious for some players with the amount of hidden items required to find. in the game.

Throughout the game, there are several costumes that Patrick unlocks after completing certain games or challenges. Players can then dress up Patrick in these outfits for a little added silliness, though they offer no gameplay benefit. It is thematically appropriate for Patrick to wear his Glove World outfit while riding the rollercoaster.

fans of Spongebob Squarepants Will love to explore Bikini Bottom and talk with so many familiar characters in the world, including helping SpongeBob in many activities. Whether you’re a fan of the show or not, though, I can see how this would still be an entertaining game for anyone who wants a joyous game that will make them laugh.

Although the controls may be difficult for young children due to the physics involved, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game Is designed to be fun for everyone, and it would be difficult to be depressed in this bright world.
