Vin Diesel teased this Fast and Furious 11 will return to the franchise's street roots to bring the series full circle, but it's too late for that. When the Fast and Furious schedule started in 2001 with Fast and Furiouswas a relatively grounded action drama. I told the Breaking point-weird story of an FBI agent going undercover in an illegal street racing operation and becoming so enchanted by his charismatic leader that he doesn't want to report him. In the first few sequels, the franchise maintained this semi-grounded approach.
But there Five quick and Fast and Furious 6by the time cars dragged a stolen safe through the streets and a tank crossed a highway, that realism had already disappeared. Furious 7 opens with cars parachuting. The Fate of the Furious makes The Rock redirect a missile with his bare hands. Fast and Furious 11 is being touted as the final film, although there has been some debate over whether or not it will actually end the series, and Diesel wants to return to the franchise's roots. But The Fast Saga is too far gone for that.
Fast & Furious 11 may not be the “street level” story that the fast-paced saga once was
Fast Saga is way beyond “street level” at this point
It might be a good idea on paper to Fast and Furious 11 to bring the franchise full circle and return to its relatively grounded roots with a street story, but this franchise is way beyond street level at this point. Once a series had cars bouncing between skyscrapers and swinging through the jungle – and even going into outer space – any possibility of realism was thrown out the window. Fast 11 We can't just ignore all the logical leaps the previous sequels made and go back to square one.
Some of the latest Fast and Furious the films feature street racing sequences as a throwback to the series' origins, but that is no longer the underlying premise. Dom Toretto and his team are no longer just street racers; They are black ops mercenaries recruited by the government to carry out secret missions. There's no way to tell a grounded story with that premise. The very idea that the government would recruit a bunch of car thieves and mechanics, as a Suicide Squad of sorts is, by its very nature, baseless. The Fast Saga has evolved into a far-fetched fantasy.
Fast X's cliffhanger ending put Fast & Furious 11 in a difficult position
Fast and Furious 11 is indebted to the ending of Fast X
The final act of Fast painted Fast 11 in a corner. Roman, Tej, Han and Ramsey were all flying in a plane that was shot down. Alan Ritchson's Aimes was revealed to be a double agent working with Dante, setting him up for a villainous arc. Dom and Little B ran off the edge of a dam to avoid Dante's traps, so Dante revealed it was all part of the plan and blew up the dam. Dom and Little B were last seen driving into a dambeing chased by a giant explosion.
Since Fast and Furious 11 has to follow directly from that moment of anguishthere's no way it can be a story grounded at street level. No movie that needs to start with two characters collapsing an exploding dam and inevitably surviving the explosion can be described as street level. The only way a grounded film could open with these setups is if six of the main heroes – including Dom – die in the first few minutes. Naturally, most of them will survive these angst conflicts (if not all of them), so it will be more nonsense Fast and Furious tour.
Fast and Furious 11 will have difficulty dealing with so many characters and stories
Fast X left many characters and plots hanging
Fast and Furious 11 it should be the grand finale, but it will be very difficult to wrap it all up. When the Marvel Cinematic Universe made its own two-part conclusion to an epic saga – Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame – the emotional ending of the first part brought everyone together with a common goal. In End of the gamethe surviving Avengers were galvanized by the goal of defeating Thanos. THE Fast and Furious Franchise doesn't have everything as simple as thatwith a clear end in sight. The characters and stories are everywhere.
It's no wonder the filmmakers are struggling to put together a cohesive story for Fast & Furious 11 – there are a lot of plates to balance.
At the end of Fasteveryone is doing their own thing. Dom and his son are tearing down an exploding dam, Luke Hobbs is encouraging Dante to go after him, and Gisele has freed Letty and Cipher from prison. It's no wonder filmmakers are struggling to put together a cohesive story for Fast and Furious 11 – is balancing many dishes. There are many stories in the air to Fast and Furious 11 Just drop everything and get back to a simple street racing adventure.
Fast X: Part 2
Fast X: Part 2 is the eleventh episode of The Fast Saga. It continues the high-octane adventures of Dom Toretto and his crew as they face new challenges and adversaries. Known for its explosive action sequences, the film builds on the franchise's legacy of fast cars and family loyalty.
