2024 was an incredible but bittersweet year for the My Hero Academy franchise. After 10 years of continuous publication, the main manga series came to an end on August 5, 2024. Deku's story made a brief return with the release of an emotional epilogue that revealed the fate of the Class 1-A students, after which publication came to a definitive end.
Fans may want to prepare for yet another ending, as the Team Missions spin-off is also expected to be completed in February 2025. The last chapter will be published in Saikyo Jump magazine, aimed at younger audiences. Following this news, there will be no more ongoing manga series revolving around the My Hero Academy universe.
Team Up mission spin-off manga will end in 2025
Written and illustrated by Yōkō Akiyama
According to a recent Amazon listing, the final chapter of My Hero Academy derived series, Team Missions, will be released in the February issue of Saikyo Jump Magazine. Illustrated by Yoko Akiyama, the series, which focused on Deku and his friends joining popular characters from the series on simple and fun adventures, began in 2019. Although the manga was not as popular as the main series, as it primarily catered to young children, was still beloved by much of the fandom.
The news came as a shock to the community, as it was announced just a few months after the end of the original manga series. Even so, since the main series will not continue, it would be difficult for the spin-off to retain a consistent audience, which is probably the main reason for its end. Although not much information is known about the chapter until December 2024, fans hope that an official statement will be released in January 2025, as the magazine that will contain the final chapter will be released on the 4th of the same month.
The anime became the franchise's last hope

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child he always wanted to be a hero. However, his quirklessness has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia revolves around Deku and a class of heroes in training at UA. This school turns young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off against dastardly supervillains.
