The performances of the Slow Horses Cast are certainly one reason why the show continues to earn such positive reviews, and Oldman, in particular, is a highlight. Although the ensemble of actors, including Jack Lowden, Rosalind Elazar, Kristen Scott Thomas, Saskia Reeves and Christopher Chung, is a big reason for its charm, Oldman is arguably delivering one of the best performances of his impressive career. Lamb is, in many ways, repulsive, but he’s also cunning, and Oldman gives the character a certain degree of charm.
The writing is another reason for Slow Horses‘ Success, and much of this is, of course, drawn from Herron’s books. Season 4 is set to adapt the events of book four, Spook StreetWhich sees Lamb and his team trying to get to the bottom of a devastating bombing while River Cartwright (Lowden) looks after his ailing grandfather (Jonathan Price). It remains to be seen how the audience responds Slow Horses Season 4, but the pattern so far suggests it’s going to be a lot of fun.
