Sister Wives season 19 revealed some difficult truths about Kody Brown and Meri Brown's relationship, including the list of ultimatums he tried to give her to improve their already destroyed relationship. Although Meri was difficult to root for in moments of Sister Wives season 19, when she betrayed the trust of her former sister wives in favor of giving the upper hand to Kody and his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown, Meri deserves more respect than she ever received from Kody. After a 30-year marriage, Kody and Meri's inability to connect during the last few seasons of Sister Wives it was unbelievable.
Kody and Meri's relationship spanned decades, but his respect for his first wife was never something Kody took seriously. Although he married Janelle Brown and Christine Brown shortly after Meri, his marriage to Robyn wasn't for another twenty years, which made things difficult when Kody valued Robyn more than his other wives. Kody and Robyn's relationship has been difficult for the other family members to accept, and although Meri seemed to accept his fourth wife, she is sharing what led to the end of their marriage in Sister Wives.
Meri revealed that Kody had a list of improvements to make to win him back

In a recent episode of Sister Wives season 19, Meri shared with her friends that Kody provided her with a list before the explosive split of things she could work on to improve and potentially win him back. Although Kody made it clear that he wasn't sure the self-improvement list would work, he seemed to want to give Meri a chance to get back into the marriage. Kody, who hadn't made his interest in her clear to Meri in years, seemed to think he could pressure Meri into changing for his amusement.
Meri's decision to look into the list wasn't surprising when she explained it, as Meri has always been incredibly loyal when it comes to Kody and their marriage. Despite going through the list and making changes to herself, Meri didn't feel the same connection she once felt with Kody. While Kody was falling more and more in love with Robyn, his relationship with Meri was falling apart.

Although Meri decided, for the sake of her marriage, to follow Kody's self-improvement listshe worked things out and discovered that her marriage with Kody had not improved. Meri and Kody's marriage finally came to an end when she decided she no longer wanted to deal with the way he treated her. After gaining spiritual deliverance from her church, Meri is now a free, single woman, and has been sharing her independence on the most recent season of Sister Wives. Meri's decision to follow Kody's suggestions proves her unwavering loyalty.
Kody's Disrespectful List Proves He Never Cared About Meri
He has always been uninterested in Meri
Although Meri's decision to free herself from her marriage negates some of the Sister Wives star's decision to work on Kody's self-improvement list, the fact that he feels comfortable being so disrespectful proves that he never really cared about Meri after all. Kody's consistent need to change Meri and mold her into something different of what she was could have been hurtful for anyone, but it was especially painful for Meri as she moved through the divorce process. Meri's choice to move on was empowering, but Kody's consistent belittling and demeaning behavior was not positive for their relationships in Sister Wives.
