Sister Wives' Gwendlyn Brown Graduated Early From College (She Missed Christine and David's Wedding Due to Her Education)

Gwendlyn Brown's Sister Wives has had an interesting journey since moving away from her family a few years ago. The drama surrounding Sister Wives began in the early '90s when Kody Brown married Christine Brown after marrying his first and second wives, Meri and Janelle Brown, respectively. Together, Kody and Christine had six children, one of whom was Gwendlyn. Despite ongoing family drama and marital problems, they raised their six children well. Gwendlyn made her reality TV debut alongside her family in 2010, when she was just eight or nine years old.

Gwendlyn faced the same challenges as her family while on TV. She watched her father mistreat her biological mother. She also dealt with the negative impacts of polygamy and had other domestic problems with his brothers. Gwendlyn also witnessed her family disintegrate during the COVID-19 pandemic because of her father's strict rules and personal conflicts with his wives and children. In November 2021, Gwendlyn saw a transformation after her mother, Christine, found the strength to leave her father for good. She witnessed her mother breaking free from polygamy and rebuilding her life.

Christine was perfectly fine with Gwendlyn not attending the wedding

Gwendlyn sacrificed a lot to graduate ahead of schedule. In October 2023, she explained why she did not attend her mother's second wedding despite most of her family being present. On his Patreon page, Gwendlyn he said, "I was busy haha. A lot going on with school and my house." Gwendlyn acknowledged that some may see her absence as her mother abandoning her on her special day. However, she spoke to her mother, Christine, who "I didn't care" she did not attend the wedding ceremony.

Gwendlyn added: “She took me off the guest list as soon as I told her.”

Gwendlyn had disagreements with many members of her family.

She fought with her brother, Paedon, after he slapped her a few years ago. Gwendlyn later accused Paedon of being "sexist" and "transphobic", which may explain their strained relationship. She also seems to have problems with Kody, insinuating that he is an unfit father without directly attacking him publicly. Her social media presence suggests that she prioritizes herself and her partner over her family. THE Sister Wives cast member rarely posts photos with her family, indicating that she is only close to a few of them.
