Sisko Perfectly Explains Why It’s Time for Tom Paris to Become Star Trek’s Next Captain

Captain Benjamin Sisko is an exemplary judge of character and explained why Tom Paris should be Star Trek next captain. Tom Paris’s mission in Theseus it was, in many ways, even more deadly than his stay in the Delta Quadrant. Since signing on, Tom has faced not only the aforementioned Tzenkethi, but also a violent Klingon uprising during Blood Day. All of these events were insignificant next to the Theseus’ trip to Pleroma. Tom truly went where “no one has gone before” when he flew by ship to Pleroma, or “the realm of the gods.” Tom witnessed the end of Star Trek universe when Lore detonated the Bajoran Orb of Destruction.
