The latest event in the US The Sims 4 is leaving players dissatisfied due to an unsurprising factor,. The Grim Reaper event is part of a new free component of the game, where exclusives will be available to claim for a limited time. It is separate from the upcoming Life and Death Expansion PackWhere players won’t need the expansion to participate.
The Reaper’s Rewards event centers around the Grim Reaper and offers log-in rewards for players who complete in-game tasks. Similar to a battle pass, this event is an opportunity for players to collect new items such as clothes, a new tattoo and some furniture. New items and tasks unlock every week for up to 6 weeks. Unfortunately, there is some disappointment that comes with the Reaper’s Rewards event, which should be familiar to fans of the now 10-year-old game.
Reaper’s Rewards event contains bugs, not surprisingly
This Spooky Sims event is crawling with problems
Some Players find that the Reaper’s Rewards event is too bugged to be even playable. One of the most common issues arising from the event is that The new interface on the top left of the game will be empty Where the weekly work should be. The blank UI still seems to be a problem for players even in the second week of the event, as cases are still being reported in eas bug report forums.

Other issues center around the tasks themselvesWhere some players are struggling with claiming their rewards due to the bugs. Tasks that players have already completed are not checked off the list in the UI and do not count towards completion.
Another bug involves one task that requires a newsletter to be delivered, where Some players experience that the postman gets stuck in a loop when trying to release it. Other players have problems with the tasks that involve planting flowers. With so many problems, players are not able to collect their free rewards early in this event.
Bugs have always been an issue for The Sims 4
Every update seems to introduce new problems
Bug issues in The Sims 4 are continuous events That Maxis continues to deal with. With every update or pack release, there seem to be announcements of patches that promise to fix the game’s biggest problems only for new ones to come next. The pattern of prioritizing releasing new content over fixing the game’s existing problems is a trend that dates back to the earlier days of The Sims 4. For a game that has been constantly updated since its release 10 years ago, players would think issues like these would have been resolved a long time ago.
Recent packs that have been released for the game are also victims of this. With expansions like High school years And loved, There were bugs and performance issues that appeared upon release. It is also the infamous My Wedding Stories Game Pack Which was deemed unplayable and not worth purchasing due to the bugs, and it has received many fixes in new updates. It’s a cycle that seems to continueWhere when a new pack or free update is released there will be bugs that will need to be patched later.

Even with the game’s problems, Maxis and EA don’t want to slow down The Sims 4 Anytime soon. With a fresh Sims 4 Survey, EA really know what players want and has asked about future expansions to the game. However, if the cycle of broken updates continues, the game is slowly becoming a tiring ordeal with players with low expectations.
The new Reaper’s Rewards event has become the latest victim of a bug-littered update for The Sims 4. The free event is sometimes unplayable for those who encounter the bugs, where players cannot claim their rewards and enjoy the game themed around the upcoming spooky season. The idea for the event fits the game and the season, but even early in its run, there are undesirable bumps. With the bugs appearing in a simple free in-game event, the upcoming Life and Death Expansion Pack May unsurprisingly come with its functional problems as well.
