Silent Hill 2 remake is hiding the best reference to the doomed Silent Hill HD collection

An Easter egg was discovered in the Silent Hill 2 Remake Which makes a knowing nod to the doomed Silent Hill HD Collection. The collection was released 11 years after the classic horror game and was met with a terrible reception. Fans were worried that the Bloober Team remake would suffer the same fate, and, it turns out, Bloober was well aware of it.

A picture shared by GmanLives On X shows the notorious “Silent Hill Ranch” sign of the HD collection lying prostrate on the ground. According to GmanLives, the sign can be found by clearing through the ranch at the beginning of the remake.

The inclusion of this sign is a nod to fans, acknowledging their fears that Remake would become another HD collection. Its inclusion is an admission of the pressure on Bloober to make the best game they can.

The Silent Hill HD Collection does not impress

Silent Hill HD Collection was developed by Hijinx Studios and included an HD remake of Silent Hill 2 And 3. The title was doomed from the start, As it does not include any of the original voice actors. It currently has a score of 70 on Metacriticcompared to 87 for Silent Hill 2 and 85 for Silent Hill 3. User reviews are terrible, citing many bugs, framerate issues, incorrect and broken textures, sound mixing problems, and many more issues. Some changes have also been made, for seemingly no good reason.

Worst of all, these Silent Hill HD Collection Changed the ranch entrance sign to what is possibly the most hated font in existence, Comic Sans, as Lainbowie Shown in a comparison video on YouTube. Most fans consider these HD collection To be many times worse than the games it was supposed to be improving.

since then, Silent Hill 2 Remake Reviews and gameplay videos have been released, and it’s clear that Bloober has done a good job with this title. The game seems to keep the feel and spirit of the original intact and is currently sitting at a solid 87 on Metacritic. The team is winning fans over, leading to many “we’re sorry, blooper” forum threads, as user Bookman Post on Retsetera.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Releases on October 8, when many fans will find out if Bloober Team did a good job on the fan-favorite name. Based on this latest Easter egg, it seems like the studio at least understands how much pressure is on them to get it right.
