THE Coin Puzzle in Wood Side Apartments in the new Silent Hill 2 remake requires finding three different coins before attempting the puzzle. These coins are hidden throughout the apartment complex and two require you to complete small puzzles to find them.
The puzzle box itself is in the Reception room of the apartment, covered by a sheet. After gathering all three currenciesyou can come back here to solve the puzzle. Here’s how to find them.
The silver coin
Face to man, tail to sword
THE silver coin with Man and Sword can be found at Room 206. Be sure to stop by Room 108 First, where will you find the Golden Apple Handle needed for this first puzzle. Then go to Room 208where you will find a wardrobe with two golden hands, with one of them facing upwards. Place the Golden Apple Handle in the hand, which turns the hand down and open the wardrobe.
Inside the wardrobe there is a peephole that shows a room with safe in the middle and drawings on the walls. Step to the side of the wardrobe to move it away, where you will enter the Hidden room 206 behind her. Approach the safe and use the combination: 13 Right, 7 Left, 11 Right. The safe will open and give you the silver coincommon Man on one side and a sword on the otherand one steel keythat opens the hidden door in end of the room.
The gold coin
Head to woman, tail to cross
Go to Room 312 to start this next puzzle where you will need crawl through a vent in the small room to the west. Take the apple juice from the table and release it through the garbage chute. A short cutscene will play, showing other trash being dropped, including a gold coin, rolling along the sidewalk outside.
Return to the parking lot where you will find the gold coin on the floor, with Woman on one side and a crossed tombstone on the other. If you need help finding your way back quickly, HarryNinetyFour’s video shows the easiest way to turn back.
The bronze coin
Heads for flowers, tails for snakes
THE last coin can be found at apartment pool. You can get to the pool by jumping the window of room 116. Inside the drained pool there is a cart surrounded by fog.
Approach the cart where you will pick up the Bronze Cointhat has a Snake on one side and a Flower on the other. You now have all three puzzle coins.
Solving the puzzle
Answers to the poem’s riddles
Now you can return to Reception room where the coin puzzle box was found. Each stage of the puzzle has a different poem that you must follow by placing the coins in the correct slots with the correct sides facing up.
There are five spaces in total at the bottom, so answers will be written according to whether or not the spaces are filled in, and if so, in what currency. The answer to the first poem is Man, empty, Woman, empty, Flower. The answer to the second poem is empty, sword, empty, woman, flower. The answer to the third poem is empty, empty, man, tombstone, snake.
The final answer to the poem is up to the player, as he asks for his opinion on who is to blame for the woman’s death. Place the Snake, Man or Woman coin in the top slot to lock your choice. Be sure to think carefully as your decision could influence which Silent Hill 2 remake finishing you can do it.
