Chef Cloyce Martin has joined the cast and crew of Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, but he’s already ruining the series by quitting his job in the previous episodes. The 22-year-old chef has been cooking professionally since he was 14, but he still has a lot of growing up to do. Captain Glenn Shephard has his hands full with an overconfident chef, drama from Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher and First Mate Gary King, and new sailors and stews on board. However, your biggest problem may be the chef.
There have been rumors that Gary could be written out following allegations of sexual misconduct, but he appears to be starring in a lead role on the hit Bravo series. Captain Glenn was horrified by the situation, calling Chef Cloyce back when he realized the crewman was not back on the boat. Chef Cloyce not only chose to escape his duties by taking advantage of the afternoon time, but he also left his kitchen in a mess.
THE Bravo the star definitely didn’t make a good impression on Captain or Chief Stew Daisy after the event. In fact, Chef Cloyce’s decision could ruin his position on the boat and the show in general. The incident left the crew and Captain Glenn exasperated, as Cloyce was nowhere to be found just before the scheduled lunch. As Daisy pointed out, the chef’s performance typically determines the tip.
Chef Cloyce, who saw this as an opportunity to enjoy a break in the Spanish sun, assured the crew that he could prepare a “light lunch” with minimal preparation. However, this was not true and the guests were left waiting for the chicken and salmon to be served. Until Chef Cloyce himself acknowledged that he made a mistake your time.

This resulted in a 17 minute delay before dessert could be served. The crisis was averted by the guests’ satisfaction with the bread pudding, but the situation could have been bad. He was also angry when Daisy asked for the steaks to be cooked to order because of the guests’ different preferences. Chef Cloyce will not accept any changes to the Service unless they are initiated by Chef Cloyce.

Chef Cloyce’s attitude risks making Daisy look unprofessional to guests, especially when meal service is delayed because of their antics or lack of communication. Additionally, Chef Cloyce’s young age and selfish traits often come across as seductive and somewhat playful. He tries to use his charm to lighten the mood even when they are at odds, although this has not greatly dispelled their conflicts. Boss Stew Daisy is unimpressed by his habit of doing things his way. However, he openly told Gary that he was interested in Daisy. The feeling does not appear to be mutual.

Before joining Sailing yacht below deck, Chef Cloyce has appeared on several reality TV cooking shows. His reality debut took place at the age of 14, in Man vs. Child: Chef Showdownwhere young chefs competed against adult professionals.
He later competed in Cook until you reach culinary schoolspecial by Rachael Ray, where contestants had to prepare dishes within a budget and deadline, while competing for a scholarship. Although future Sailing yacht below deck star Cloyce didn’t win the top prize, he received a scholarship that helped further his culinary studies. That must have made him feel so good.

Chef Cloyce also appeared in Battle of the Brothers on the Food Network, mentored by celebrity chefs Bryan and Michael Voltaggio. He competed with other chefs for the chance to contribute to the menu at his brothers’ restaurant. These compliments probably helped him get noticed by Bravo, but it can be difficult to take him seriously. As a reality TV alumnus, Chef Cloyce may be on the show specifically to cause trouble.
Will Chef Cloyce be fired this season?
He’s already on thin ice

Chef Cloyce’s tension with Daisy increasedespecially when he tried to blame her for the delays in service, which really got him on the chief stew’s bad side. Daisy felt he was undermining her role and this disagreement damaged their relationship. He also tried to take on Diana Cruz’s duties when interacting with guests, serving them wine.
Additionally, Chef Cloyce’s priorities seem skewed, as he prefers hanging out with guests rather than preparing food. Captain Glenn, known for his patience, was visibly upset by this and will not be afraid to fire Chef Cloyce if he makes any more mistakes. Although Chef Cloyce is safe for now, his place in the Sailing yacht below deck the cast is certainly on thin ice.
