Screen Rant: Liz partners more closely with Sean on the food truck this season. How is their dynamic developing this season?
Christa Miller: I definitely think they’re getting closer. I think Liz makes some mistakes in their friendship, and they go through a rollercoaster this season.
Liz’s bond with Gaby strengthens this season. What exciting developments can you share with fans looking forward to their relationship this season?
Christa Miller: Well, I think Liz gets a lot more crazy with Gaby, because I think Liz likes to tell people what’s what all the time; I don’t think Gabby likes people telling her what’s what. I know we had a lot of fun this season, so I hope you’ll be able to enjoy it.
Speaking of Liz telling people what’s what, I think the scenes with Liz and Paul are gold. They are absolutely phenomenal. Can you talk about working with Harrison Ford, and can you tell us about Liz and Paul’s unique relationship this season?
Krista Miller: First of all, I love Harrison – he’s also my friend – Harrison kills me, I’m obsessed with him. I love Calista [Flockheart] As well, but he is so funny to work with. He’s so dry and so funny, but it’s also such a pleasure. I had to do a scene with him and I was just as mesmerized.
My husband was on the set that day, and he said: “Christa, you are too thirsty, you have a problem when you talk to him.” I’m like, “Oh, sorry, my bad.” Because he is so good. You can just follow him and you can forget everything you thought about, and your performance will be good too, just to work with him. But when we do comedy scenes, he kills me. It’s really hard not to vomit.
Christa Miller thinks Liz has “too many boundaries” in shrinking
Without change the character could be headed for disaster in season 2Boundaries and forgiveness are a major theme this season. How do these themes apply to Liz’s journey in season 2?
Christa Miller: Well, I think she needs to leave some boundaries. I think Liz has too many boundaries and has kept things too tight and too wrapped up and too controlled, and I don’t think it’s working for her. Then when she breaks a boundary, it will be a disaster.
Out of curiosity, how many rocks does Liz give out this season?
Christa Miller: It could be one or two. You can’t go crazy. They don’t just come all the time.
Can you talk about Liz’s relationship with Alice this season?
Christa Miller: I think she misses Alice, and I think she’s mad at Alice because Alice has something that Liz doesn’t like, but again, I think it makes their relationship stronger. But I think Liz is just feeling all the kids going off to college and not being there for her.
