Most boss fights in Black Myth: Wukong Have a simple objective, but there is one encounter in Chapter Two that is a bit more complicated. When the destined one meets the Second Prince and the King of Flowing Sands, He must take over both opponents at onceAnd the order in which he does so affects more than just battle strategy. The game does not make it clear in advance, but it is possible to miss either a reward or a unique cutscene depending on the approach to the fight.
The Destined One first encounters the hulking Second Rat Prince and his diminutive father, the King of Flowing Sands in a barren desert courtyard. Here, the king is lecturing his son on the necessity of toughing it out until their master returns. When he catches a whiff of the destined one, however, the king rejoices at the arrival of fresh meat, and the rodents immediately prepare for combat with an enemy that proves to be more of a challenge than they expected.

If the destined one kills the King of Flowing Sands in the encounter, he will still have to fight the Second Prince after, but he will receive the Second Rat Prince Spirit for doing so. This can lead to a bit of a tricky fight, as the Second Prince of Flowing Sands becomes more intense after the Destined One kills his father. It is best to reduce the Second Prince to low health before focusing on the King of Flowing Sands And turning back to quickly finish him after taking out the king. When you use this approach, it’s still a very manageable fight, as the two don’t work together with the same aggression that most difficult duo boss fights bring to the table.
Killing Black Myth : Wukong’s Second Rat Prince First
A special cutscene is a nice consolation prize
Killing the Second Prince of Flowing Sands first loses the second Rat Prince spirit, so it’s definitely not the right choice for Black Myth: Wukong Completion, but it has its own perks. It immediately makes for an easier fight, as the King of Flowing Sands runs away after his grown-up son is defeated. There’s also a unique (and memorable) cutscene that followsIn which the King of Flowing Sands dies to his own hubris without the need for the Destined One to bring any more attacks into the picture.

As far as missable content in Black Myth: Wukong Granted, one spirit isn’t a huge deal, and the second Rat Prince is arguably not as useful as some other options like the Wandering White Spirit. The additional cutscene that plays on the other route is also a nice perk, so it’s easy not to mourn the loss. All the same, there is more to be gained from killing the King of Flowing Sands first, so it is best for the Destined One to hold off on taking down the second Rat Prince to have the most complete Black Myth: Wukong Game.
