Mephisto battles from within his domain

Technically, they are fighting Mephisto’s physical avatar, the Harbinger of HateBecause Mephistopheles has not yet escaped from the soul stone. Here in his field, a tough battle is fought, with the only possibility of success hinged on the spiritual power and help of Akarat.

In order to finish off Mephisto’s Harbinger of Hate, Akarat’s Golden Lion form summons his last reserves of energy to enter the weakened Mephisto while the player continues to fight it. Although Mephisto’s form has been removed, leaving only Akrat lying on the ground, it is far from a happy ending.

in this matter, His betrayal at the end is not out of character. To find out that he is willing to make a deal with the Lord of Enmity, Mephisto, to spare Nechantu, by sacrificing all the others, is sad on point. That being said, he knows what he did was wrong. He asks the spirits to forgive him. He tells the players that they deserve better than him. He even returns to Neyrelle and the player after the final battle, in agony of spirit and wishing for death.

While the battle against Mephisto was taking place, Eru took Akarat’s physical body back to the Tomb of Akarat and placed the Soulstone inside it. Then he found Nyrele and the Wanderer back and wanted to die. He knows what he did was wrong, but he was so focused on saving Nahantu that he was blinded by his mission.

How the end of the ship of hatred could set the future content of Diablo 4

The return of Mephisto leaves many directions for developers to take the story

Back in the Tomb of Akarat, after Eru deposited Akarat’s body there with the Soulstone embedded in it, Mephisto makes his move. In a gory scene suit of Diablo quality, Mephisto rises again, taking over the body of the beloved prophet AkaratThe head of the memorial church and all that gives light.

With this recognizable and revered form, Mephisto can manipulate many, likely by using the appearance of good to spread his darkness. Walking among mortals using the body of the presumably newly resurrected leader and prophet of the Zacarum religion, his power may be endless. Future expansions for Diablo 4 Will undoubtedly focus on this new threat to the world. The spirit of Akarat’s parting words to Neyrelle may be prophetic of his return in some way to free Mephisto from using his body for evil.

Likewise, Lilith, Mephisto’s daughter who claimed she was there to stop Mephisto from ruling over Sanctuary, may make a comeback in the future. Her essence remains in the blood of the wanderer, and with the new threat on the horizon, she can only be proven right in her earlier declarations. All these ideas are simply speculation, however, until the next expansion for Diablo 4 is released.
