Sevika’s New Cyborg Arm in Arcane Season 2, Explained
Arcane Gives Sevika a really cool replacement after Vi broke her arm in Season 1
Sevika gets a new cyborg arm in the second episode of Arcane 2nd seasongiving her a host of new abilities while also strengthening her bond with Jinx. The second episode of season 2, “Watch It All Burn,” focuses entirely on the citizens of Zaun. Sevika becomes frustrated with the Chem-Barons’ war with each other and shares a moment with Jinx, who thanks her by creating a new cyborg arm. Unlike Season 1’s Shimmer, this arm appears to be more mechanical. It is also much more chaotic, reflecting the impulsive attitudes of its creator.
Sevika’s new arm, which has a shark’s mouth instead of a traditional hand, is activated via a crank. This triggers a mini-slot machine on the arm. The slot machine unlocks different abilities hidden in the arm, which affect exactly how Sevika can approach a fight. Some of these combinations reveal a grappling hook, an extended boxing glove, a flamethrower, ninja stars, a smoke bomb, musical speakers, or fireworks. This gives Sevika a certain degree of unpredictability in a fight.which she initially bristles against, but quickly adapts to during her fateful fight with Smeech.

The new arm comes with a new link
Sevika getting Jinx’s new arm is a huge turn of events Arcaneespecially after their antagonistic relationship in the first season. Sevika was suspicious of Jinx’s influence over Silco during the story and constantly provoked the young girl, leading Jinx to attack her. However, as they both mourn the loss of Silco and the trouble he left them in season two, they find an unlikely connection. As a result, Sevika’s new arm directly reflects Jinx’s design habitsseemingly cementing their bond with a new piece of equipment that Sevika can trust.
Sevika’s new arm quickly becomes useful, allowing Sevika to fight alongside Jinx and nearly get the better of Caitlyn in the following episode, “Finally Got The Name Right.” It also reinforces a more emotionally open Sevikawho spent most of the first season as a more antagonistic force against Vi and Jinx. It is also not derived from ArcaneIt is Hextech, which means it is not affected like other weapons when Jayce gets close to a Wild Rune. While it’s possible Sevika will get an update eventually, Arcane gives her a really cool new arm to rely on.
Set in the League of Legends universe, Arcane focuses on sisters Violet and Powder (later Jinx), who end up on opposite sides of a growing conflict between the wealthy utopia of Piltover and its dark underground city, whose citizens wish to break away from their oppressors. .
