Executive producer Ben Stiller and star John Turturro have teased details about the upcoming severance Season 2, also addressing release pressures for the sci-fi show due to production delays. John Turturro: I think it’s going to be a really interesting second season. We are delving into the unknown that the audience is waiting for, and then do it incrementally.
Ben Stiller: It’s been an interesting, trying time in recent years to make things, on all levels, for people. So to keep the focus on trying to make the best season possible, be aware that it is taking a long time. I, like other people, get frustrated when things take a long time. I want to have the next season sooner. So I understand that sense of expectation.
It took a long time. I hope it’s good. You know, people just want something to live up to what they’ve experienced and have it hopefully not let them down. And so, I don’t know, all you can do is try to do what you think is good.
I am excited for him. We put it all into it. And it was fun exploring the story and working with the actors and [series creator] Dan Erickson. I’ve never had such an experience of being with something for so long, where the characters really start to have a life and the actors understand the characters so well, and it grows into something more.
