Secret Level Episode 7 Ending and Crossfire Connections Explained

Secret level
Episode 7 tells a moving story of conflict between two factions of mercenaries, with a recurring theme of who is the “bad guy”. Prime Video has released an anthology series that takes inspiration from different video games with each new episode. While some episodes feel very similar to the games they were inspired by, others take the central premise as a base to build on and create something incredibly unique. The result is a powerful and compelling series, with a new and exciting chapter in each episode.

In Secret level episode 7, the program is inspired by the video game Cross-firewhich was initially released in 2007. The game was a viral hit throughout Asia, but the explosion in popularity was not as intense when the game was introduced to American audiences and the rest of the West. Despite this, it stood out as a strong first-person shooter with objective missions in a setting where it was a crowded genre and play style. And instead of focusing on individual missions, Cross-fire put a heavy focus on strategic team battles which required teams of up to 16 people to coordinate and work together.

Who won the game?

Blacklist and Global Risk clashed in Secret Level Episode 7

Remedy Games' Crossfire X is the most interesting shooter of recent times

Secret level Episode 7 begins by introducing one of the two main teams, the Blacklist, as they prepare to transport a client. The team members are concerned because the client is normally the type of person they are hired to kill, but this time he has paid to be transported across a border where he hopes to deliver a suitcase to a group of freedom fighters. It is mentioned that he is a traitor and someone untrustworthy, but the mercenaries were hired to do a joband that is exactly what they intend to do. However, it doesn't take long for the opposing team, Global Risk, to make their mission more challenging.

When the two teams eventually come into conflict, the Blacklist agent chooses to separate her client and the suitcase he is carrying in order to calm the tension with the Global Risk agent. This allows her to get away with the client and move on to her intended destination. Meanwhile, Global Risk also achieves its objective by recovering the package it was chasing. Ultimately, this means that both teams won in technical termscompleting your objectives and performing your tasks as needed. The only person who lost was the client, who didn't include the suitcase in the job description when he hired the Blacklist mercenaries.

Who are the “bad guys?”

Global Risk and Blacklist are two factions of mercenaries in the crossfire

Throughout the episode, the idea that no one is the “bad guy” is frequently repeated. Blacklist agents justify their actions because it meets their job requirements and allows them to assist those who need help. Likewise, Global Risk is in exactly the same business. While the two factions come into conflict while working on their assigned tasksNeither group intends to kill the other and simply wants to do their job and move on.

The only person who lost was the client, who didn't include the suitcase in the job description when he hired the Blacklist mercenaries.

Technically speaking, there doesn't seem to be a group of bandits in Secret level episode 7, but there is one individual who can be defined as the villain. The client who hires Blacklist mercenaries appears to be disliked by this group, and although Global Risk confirms he is a civilian, the package he stole puts him in their crosshairs. Despite this, Global Risk does not want blood and, when the package is returned, they cease operations. The customer, however, feel cheated because you expected to get a big payout with the stolen goods, and now arrives at his destination empty-handed.

What happened to the client?

The customer received exactly what they paid for

At the end of the episode, the customer is taken to the desired destination. The Blacklist mercenaries rejected his request to return for the suitcase, claiming that the contract only required it to be delivered to the border. Being completely unharmed, although potentially a little shaken, The Black List delivered exactly what it paid for. However, he mentions that the freedom fighters will likely kill him if he shows up without the goods. Whatever was in the suitcase was of great value to the freedom fighters and the Global Risk team, and potentially enough to kill the civilian client.

Although his death is not confirmed, he is left alone on the edge of the border, empty-handed. As a civilian who is of no interest to either the Black List team or the Global Risk team, he is no longer a target of these groups. However, if we are to believe him, failing to deliver the stolen goods he promised, the freedom fighters will potentially mean a disastrous outcome for him. In a sad and lonely image, he remains alone in the deserted and foggy streets, while the Black List agents leave and leave him to whatever fate awaits him.

How Secret Level Episode 7 Relates to Crossfire

Does the secret level faithfully recreate Crossfire in Episode 7?

Crossfire X Delay 2021 Exclusive to Xbox

As mentioned above, Cross-fire was initially released in 2007 and became a hugely successful game in parts of Asia. The game grew to have over a billion players worldwide and continued to have active servers around the world until around 2018. Today, the game still runs on multiple servers, but it is not as ubiquitous as it once was. However, Secret level episode 7 evokes the feeling of that classic first-person shooterwith a variety of agents, two teams competing to achieve their unique goals, and a variety of different roles for each team member.

As it is a narrative story, the show provides a more in-depth exploration of the teams, with touching and emotional moments from characters that are not seen in the games. Additionally, the art style is a big change, as the show has left behind the clunky style of the 2007 game for an ultra-realistic art style that makes the characters feel real and allows them to express emotions throughout. Perhaps one of the biggest episodes is the lack of real deaths in the Secret level episode, as the show explores the deeper reality of these warring teams and their motivations, rather than a simple first-person shooter-style video game where death is inconsequential.
