Season 5 of The Boys isn't the most exciting release in the Prime Video franchise (nor is it the second)

The boys will end with Season 5, but that's not even close to being the most exciting project in its shared cinematic universe on Prime Video. The boys began as a satire on the sprawling superhero franchises owned by Marvel and DC; There's even a scene in which Vought Studios overextends itself by announcing sequels and spin-offs for several phases at the same time. But in recent years, in response to its great success, The boys it became exactly what it was falsifying.

Since The boys has become Amazon's crown jewel, the megacorporation – which is suspiciously similar to the franchise's big corporate villain, Vought International – is refusing to let it die. The boys There are several spin-offs already on the air and there are even more in development, such as a show set in Mexico with a working title The Boys: Mexico. Although The boys season 5 is set to be the last, The boys it won't end anytime soon. Season 5 isn't even the most exciting release of The boys universe.

Generation V Season 2 and Vought's Prequel Are More Exciting Than The Boys Season 5 Right Now

The Boys was overtaken by its spin-offs

The most exciting next release in The boys franchise is not The boys 5th season; that's it Generation V season 2. Generation V the first season introduced a new cast of attractive and lovable charactersand it will be interesting to see where their journeys go. The first season was a college show like Adult or Fresh Meatbut with a superhero twist. The emotional ending of the season 1 finale set up a much wilder, larger-scale plot for season 2.

And then Generation V Season 2, the second most exciting release is Vought rising. Vought rising is a prequel set in the 1950swith Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash set to reprise their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront. It will chronicle the origins of Vought International through the lens of a disturbing murder mystery. It will be fascinating to see how Vought became so powerful and monopolized America. The boys season 5 is in third place after these two shows, but It's an unfortunate situation when spin-offs are more anticipated than the main series.

The Boys Season 5 Is Still Highly Anticipated, But Season 4 Wasn't The Best Setup

The Boys Season 4 Was Disjointed and Underwhelming

The boys Season 4 ended with a pretty tantalizing setup for the fifth and final season. Homelander became the President of the United States in all but name, and except for Butcher and Starlight, the boys were all captured. But Season 4 was so disjointed and underwhelming – with cheap laughs, unearned shock value and questionable character development – that the prospect of The boys Season 5 doesn't inspire much hope. It certainly doesn't inspire more hope than the other releases in the franchise.
