While some of these singers were superstars who had been beloved musical artists for decades, others, like Kobie and Bronson, showed off their hidden talents, and it was exciting. Combining Battle Royale and Smackdown, Smack Royale featured Strawberry Shortcake by AJ Michalka and Boyz II Men's Buffalos competing for a spot in the finals by singing the same song, “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic, as a duet, going back and forth, but also singing together at some points. It was an epic moment and The masked singer should bring him back in future seasons.

The masked singer season 12 was the best because there were so many A-list stars behind the masks. From Paula Cole to Natalie Imbruglia and AJ Michalka, season 12 was a dream. Having an ending that featured Mario and Boyz II Men competing for the Golden Mask Trophy was a true gift.

Fans have dreamed of having Boyz II Men on the show for years, and it has finally happened. They made history as the first group to win the show. Hearing them sing their own iconic hit “Motownphilly” after being unmasked was extraordinary. Like the Buffalos, the Boyz II Men were the best winners in Masked Singer history.

The masked singer had some great seasons, but season 12 was the best yet. It raised the bar for the 13th season, which premieres in February 2025. The masked singer it's getting better and better.
