In an attempt to remove the Mind Stone, making it safe to destroy, Vision and Wanda traveled with half of the Avengers to Wakanda.. There, Wanda oversaw Shuri’s operation on Vision as the Avengers fought Thanos’ Outriders, but she couldn’t stay out of the fight for long.

Wanda Maximoff eventually abandoned her post and joined the fight on the battlefield of Wakanda, using her telekinetic abilities to lift the approaching Threshers and throw them at the attacking Outriders.. This drew admiration from the likes of Okoye and Black Widow, but left Vision vulnerable in Shuri’s lab, allowing Glaive to attack the synthezoid and solidify the outcome of the overall battle against Thanos. The Maximoff twins joined Ultron in an effort to get revenge on Tony Stark, whose weapons destroyed their home when they were children, but Wanda was able to read Ultron’s mind when Vision’s bioorganic body was being constructed, and what she saw was frightening. Wanda and Pietro joined the Avengers in the battle against Ultron, but it ended in tragedy.

Pietro Maximoff was killed when he moved a car in front of Clint Barton’s Hawkeye to stop him and a Sokovian child from being shot by Ultron. Ultron murdering his brother led Wanda Maximoff to officially join the Avengers and help them defeat the robot and its drones. Scarlet Witch breaks the fourth wall

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Following his turn as a main character in WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff became the villain of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as the Scarlet Witch corrupted by Darkhold. Jersey. This involved Scarlet Witch entering the body of her Earth-838 variant while pursuing Doctor Strange and America Chavez.

The first dream example of Scarlet Witch entering the body of Earth-838’s Wanda Maximoff was a sight to behold. Earth-838’s Wanda experienced strange events, such as her image in a photograph moving, peas rolling on a plate, and an ocean making waves in a mug. All of this happened before Scarlet Witch fully took control of her body, and this act allowed her to break the fourth wall, looking directly at us.. This was a chilling moment, very different from fourth wall breaks WandaVision episode 7, and teased the limitless possibilities of multiversal travel in the MCU.

Scarlet Witch learns the error of her ways

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Wanda Maximoff seemed to justify her actions as the villainous Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness easily, using his desire to reunite with his children as an excuse to hunt down América Chávez with the aim of killing her. His actions were heinous, particularly the sending of monsters to persecute America, the attack on Kamar-Taj and the death of many sorcerers, the dream walk to Earth-838 and the massacre of the Illuminati, and the torture of Wong and his friends.. Even so, she eventually learned the error of her ways.

During her final battle with Scarlet Witch, America Chavez gave her exactly what she wanted, using her power to open a portal to Earth-838. This allowed Scarlet Witch to meet Billy and Tommy from this alternate world, but the young twins became scared of the monstrous witch rather than recognizing her as their mother. Seeing the fear in her twins’ eyes convinced Wanda Maximoff she was wrong. This was an incredibly emotional and moving moment that showed the more human and vulnerable side of the twisted Scarlet Witch that we had been missing.

Wanda Maximoff and Vision say goodbye

WandaVision (2021)

WandaVision began Phase 4 of the MCU weeks (in Wanda Maximoff’s timeline) after Vision’s death in Avengers: Infinity War and the Battle of Earth. In her grief, Wanda inadvertently erected the Hex around Westview, created a manufactured version of Vision, and forced the town’s residents into sitcom-style roles. After Agatha Harkness showed her the true personalities of Westview’s residents, Wanda Maximoff took down the Hexbut this meant that Vision, Billy and Tommy ceased to exist.

Some of Westview’s residents returned in WandaVision recent spin-off, Agatha all the timeincluding John Collins, Sarah Proctor and Sharon Davis.

This marked the second occasion that Wanda Maximoff and Vision were forced to say goodbye, following Vision’s death in Infinity War. WandaVision moment of farewell was even more painful, however, how Wanda and Vision noted that since they’ve said goodbye before, they’ll be able to say hello again in the future. It was very moving to see Wanda left completely alone after the Hex was dismantled, even though she was hardened by her experiences in Westview and transformed into the Scarlet Witch.

4

Scarlet Witch almost kills Thanos alone

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Wanda Maximoff’s role in Avengers: Endgame was seriously diminished, given the fact that she spent most of the film being photographed during the Blip. Even so, Wanda returned to fight alongside the Avengers during the Battle of Earth, and sparked some of the absolute strength that would become even more prevalent in WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness. For Wanda, Thanos murdered Vision moments ago, so she took the chance to attack him head-on. upon meeting him again on the battlefield.

Wanda used her magic to counter a forced attack from Thanos with his double-sided sword, to throw the sword several feet away and shatter it, and to throw large piles of rocks and debris at the Mad Titan. Most impressively, however, Wanda lifted Thanos himself into the air and began tearing him apart, but was only stopped by Thanos ordering his ship to fire projectiles. in the Avengers and in his own forces. This show of strength from Scarlet Witch was truly impressive, as few other heroes have come close to taking down Thanos on their own.

3

Scarlet Witch destroys an Infinity Stone

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Five years before Wanda Maximoff fought Thanos in Avengers: Endgameshe attempted to stop the Mad Titan from acquiring the six Infinity Stones completely. When Shuri’s operation on Vision to remove the Mind Stone failed, Vision realized that drastic measures needed to be taken, so he asked his love, Wanda, to destroy the Stone with it still embedded in her forehead.. As Wanda’s powers were enhanced by the Mind Stone, she was the only candidate capable of accomplishing this incredible feat, and she did it with ease.

Wanda fired an energy beam at the Mind Stone and another at Thanos, holding him back, until the Mind Stone shattered into hundreds of pieces. No other character in MCU history except Thanos has come close to destroying an Infinity Stone, but Wanda did it quite easily. This marked a major advancement in Scarlet Witch’s power level in the MCU, cementing her as perhaps the most formidable character on Marvel Studios’ roster. Although this proved futile, it was still a remarkable show of strength.

Scarlet Witch confronts Doctor Strange in his orchard

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

At the beginning of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessIt was unclear whether Wanda Maximoff had taken on a villainous role, as she was seen innocently tending a large orchard that is likely located somewhere in or near Sokovia. Doctor Strange originally approached her with the prospect of her taking in America Chavez to keep her safe from whoever was stalking her, but things took a turn for the worse when Wanda revealed the truth. Wanda removed her magic, showing what the orchard really looked like, a corrupted and distorted landscape that housed the Darkhold..

Wanda Maximoff was in possession of the Darkhold for a year between WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Wanda Maximoff officially becomes Scarlet Witch

WandaVision (2021)

While Wanda Maximoff’s Scarlet Witch has had many memorable and impressive moments throughout her MCU careerthe most impactful and moving was the moment when she fully transformed into the Scarlet Witch in WandaVision end.
