Samuel L. Jackson doubles down on Mace Windu’s survival in Star Wars

Samuel L. Jackson doubled down that Mace Windu survived in the Star Wars Universe. Jackson played the Jedi Master character in all three Star Wars Prequel trilogy films. However, in 2005 Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the SithIt seemed Windu was killed after confronting Palpatine.

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonJackson discussed his thoughts on Windu’s fate, saying that his name was not controversial. He gave several reasons why Windu was not deadSuch as Star Wars‘ own story with the character having one arm and being the second-most powerful Jedi after Yoda, which means he can probably float. Jackson then joked about how Windu is alive and “walk the earth“With his character Jules Winnfield from Pulp fiction. Read his full comment below:

“It is a story itself, a story of one-armed, one-handed people in the Star Wars Universe. So, just because they cut my arm off and I fell out of a window, doesn’t mean I’m dead. I’m a Jedi! The second-most powerful Jedi in the universe next to Yoda. So I can swim!”

Yes, he is there. Yes, he is there walking the earth with Jules.

Samuel L. Jackson makes a good case for Mace Windu

Star Wars' Mace Windu points his lightsaber at Palpatine.

Although it turned out that Windu died in Revenge of the SithJackson referring to others Star Wars Letters help to recover his point. Obi-Wan Kenobi believed that Anakin Skywalker died after their battle on Mustafar. It wasn’t until 10 years later that Obi-Wan learned that his former apprentice had actually survived. Palpatine himself also had an apparent death similar to Windu, when Darth Vader put him down quietly, and was later revealed to be alive decades later. If Palpatine might have survived a similar fallIt is possible Windows may have too.

Our take on Mace Windu surviving in Star Wars

Windu Surviving creates interesting story possibilities

As one of the most powerful Jedi in the Star Wars Universe, if anyone was going to survive this type of fall, it would be Mace Windu. Since Windu is one of the most popular characters of the prequel trilogy, if he survives also opens the possibility to tell interesting stories. There can be a story that shows where Windu ends up after you have to go into hiding, just like these Obi-Wan Kenobi Miniseries made for Obi-Wan. A new story could also provide definitive closure for one of the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy.
