At FAN EXPO Canada, Ahsoka Tano live-action actress Rosario Dawson talked about her character’s progress in Ahsoka season 1 and what she hopes to see for Ahsoka in the upcoming second season of the Star Wars Show. Ahsoka was an exciting addition to Star Wars movies and TV shows, as it not only offered a deeper exploration of the New Republic era, but also brought some of Star Wars Best characters, Ahsoka Tano among them, back to the Star Wars Screen. Thrillingly, updates on Ahsoka Season 2 also suggests that incredible things are coming in the next installment of the show.

During a panel led by Jo Deckelmeier at FAN EXPO Canada, why Screen Rant Is a media partner, Rosario Dawson talked about Ahsoka Tano’s journey in Ahsoka Season 1 and her hopes for the upcoming second season. Specifically, Dawson said:

“I think I’m hoping that there’s some levity and some lightness that can kind of come to her. I really liked that kind of spunky energy she had when she first came on the scene. I know that rubbed some people the wrong way, But I really dig that Natasha has that spirit and form so, I would really like to play with that but I love it because Dave compares the kind of evolution of Ahsoka a lot in the frame of Gandalf and it’s incredible to experience Someone with that kind of expertise and power still have places to evolve to, and as he does it, he becomes lighter, and the spirit, and it’s more funny, and that’s what I would love.”

Clearly, Dawson was as big a fan of Ahsoka’s so-called ‘Ahsoka the White’ arc in season 1 as many viewers were, and her aspirations for Ahsoka Season 2 reflects how the story could get even better.

However, as Ahsoka the White, Ahsoka’s full Jedi potential may finally be revealed. As she is now on Peridea with Anakin Skywalker’s Force Ghost (and with Sabine Wren), this could indeed mean a new era for Ahsoka’s character. Of course, what this might look like remains to be seen, but it nonetheless suggests an exciting update to Ahsoka Tano’s story in the upcoming Ahsoka season 2. What makes this even better is that, clearly, Rosario Dawson is just as enthusiastic about Ahsoka’s development throughout the Ahsoka show, and she shares many viewers’ hopes for the second season.
