Romulus is preparing the ultimate heartbreak for the sequel

A big reveal about the planet Yvaga will likely be devastating in the wake of Alien: Romulus. Alien: Romulus was directed by Fede Álvarez and served as Foreigner film that newcomers to the franchise didn’t need to have much knowledge about the complicated series to enjoy. At the beginning of Alien: Romulusviewers are introduced to Rain, a worker at Jackson’s Star Mining Colony, whose goal is to get her and her adoptive brother out of the world and to Yvaga III.

Rain is played by Cailee Spaeny, and her adoptive brother, Andy, who is actually an android designed by Weyland-Yutani and reprogrammed by their father, is played by David Jonsson. In addition to Spaeny and Jonsson, most Foreigner: Rômulo cast of characters is entirely new to the Foreigner series. However, all other characters die during the horrific events of Alien: Romulusand Rain and Andy travel alone to Yvaga III. Although the planet they are traveling to may be very different from what they expect.

In her dreams, she sits on a hill in Yvaga III and bathes in the sun. But then she wakes up in Jackson’s Star, a mining colony that belongs to the Weyland-Yutani corporation. Jackson’s Star is exactly the opposite of what she imagines Yvaga III to be: it is completely covered in clouds and fog, and no sunlight reaches the surface.

In addition to being a supposedly beautiful, sunny planet, a major attraction of Yvaga III is that it is not controlled by Weyland-Yutani.

In Alien: RomulusRain’s goal is to leave Jackson’s Star and go to Yvaga III. Although she believes she worked the necessary amount of hours to be able to leave Jackson’s Star Rain quickly discovers that Weyland-Yutani has extended her employment contract, essentially trapping her on the dark and depressing planet for several more years.. This leads her to team up with her ex-boyfriend Tyler, along with her other friends, to escape Jackson’s Star. In addition to being a supposedly beautiful, sunny planet, a major attraction of Yvaga III is that it is not controlled by Weyland-Yutani.

Rain, Andy, and the other characters are hunted by Xenomorphs, the Offspring, and various other creatures throughout the game. Alien: Romulus. However, Rain and Andy are the only survivors, and at the end of Alien: Romulus they finally travel to Yvaga III. Therefore, even if Alien: Romulus featured several brutal deaths, Rain and Andy have reason to be hopeful for the film’s ending. Although Alien: Romulus director Fede Álvarez has teased that Yvaga III is a terrible place. He said:

Once we were done, we started thinking, ‘What do you think happens when or if they get to your Yvaga? Will it be great? Or is it a terrible place? We tend to believe that it is probably a terrible place that they I think it’s great and fantasy.

Alien: Romulus established that Rain spent years of his life dreaming of the beauty of Yvaga III. She was trapped in Jackson’s Star and lived in miserable conditions for so long, with her dreams of Yvaga III being the only feeling of hope in her life. Therefore, discovering that Yvaga III is not what she heard will be a crushing blow and will immediately set the stage for Alien: Romulus 2 to be another tragic and horrible film.

Alien: Romulus showed that Rain is an intelligent, resourceful individual with a kind heart. Therefore, She is someone who deserves a better life. She confidently believes that reaching Yvaga III will be a new beginning for her and Andy. She imagines it as a lush world beyond Weyland-Yutani’s reach. However, given Álvarez’s comments about Yvaga III, it’s clear that Rain is in for a rude awakening.

While the sequence of Alien: Romulus While it’s still early in development and not many details have been revealed about what Yvaga III actually looks like, it’s possible that it also features a harsh landscape, similar to Jackson’s Star. Maybe Yvaga III isn’t the beautiful planet Rain heard it was, or worse yet, perhaps it is actually controlled by Weyland-Yutani. Whatever Yvaga III turns out to be, it’s likely that Rain and Andy will once again encounter Weyland-Yutani, Xenomorphs, and other horrific creatures in the sequel to Alien: Romulus.
