Robin has been Batman’s sidekick in DC lore since the original’s conception in 1940, thus being minor in contrast to the Dark Knight. However, Batman’s deduction reveals that Robin’s inexperience could be an advantage in itself. Robin may not yet have Batman’s brute strength, but His youth allows him to fight without worrying about the effects on his body. Batman, on the other hand, now has to take these disadvantages into account.

Batman’s vigilantism has finally caught up with him, with his age hindering him more and more in recent years. In Detective comics #1090, Batman’s age becomes a weakness as he is unable to keep up with a young criminal he is chasing. This results in the boy’s death before he can reach him. Batman is getting too old to perform the feats that once came naturally to himwhile Robin grows more skilled with each passing year as he learns from Batman. It’s only a matter of time before the student surpasses the master – unless Batman can turn back time.
