Cruel Season 5 Part 1 ended in September 2024 and now fans are worried about when the next installment of the drama series will air. Created by Taylor Perry of the Madea movie franchise, Cruel is a spinoff of another Perry series, The oval. Cruel is a much more harrowing tale, following the cult known as the Rakudushi. At the beginning of the series, Ruth Truesdale (Melissa L. Williams), an ardent follower, kidnaps her own daughter for the Rakudushi. However, after suffering a ritual sexual assault, Ruth makes plans to leave the cult with anyone else she can convince.
The series first premiered in May 2020, and there have been four more seasons since. Every season of Cruel is broken into two parts, with some parts coming months after the first part. Season 5 Part 1 premiered in August 2024 with eight episodes and now Season 5 Part 2 is expected to tie up all the loose strands of the show. Cruel is filled with betrayal, revelations and relationships among the large ensemble cast, and Season 5 Part 2 is sure to deliver more of the same.

Cruel Season 5 Part 2 has been confirmed yet Cruel Season 4 premiere (by The direct). Now that the first eight episodes of the season have been aired, 10 more episodes are expected to air for season 5 part 2. However, it is currently unknown when they will premiere.

Williams as Ruth Truesdale, Matt Cedeno as The Highest / Tyrone Luckett, Baadja-Lane Odums as Marva, Colin McCalla as River, Michelle Nuñez as Zane, Alice Willis as Lacey, Nadège August as Joan, Blue Kimble as Andrew, and Lenny Thomas as Anthony/Dikhan will all be back for Cruel Season 5 Part 2. There are sure to be a few more familiar faces and some new ones in the second half of the season as well.

Cruel Season 5 Part 2 Story Details
Part 2 will reveal if Ruth is pregnant
The end of season 5, episode 8, leaves one major question open, and This is whether or not Ruth is pregnant with the Most High’s child. At the end of the episode, Ruth undergoes an ultrasound performed by Marva, with the Supreme and the rest of the cult watching. Before Marva can tell Ruth if she is pregnant, the scene cuts. If Ruth is pregnant, the lead up to her birth will be the main storyline. If she is not, the Most High is sure to try to have another child, and Ruth will have only a little time to escape before she is attacked again.

This angst is compounded by the fact that the Supreme is beginning to lose its grip on the cult. He was having hallucinations of his birth mother and was slowly coming to terms with the terrible things he had done as the leader of the Rakudushi cult. Cruel Season 5 Part 2 is sure to have some major decisions for Ruth, the Supreme, and the Rakudushi Cult.
