Hormonal teenage Supes from Godolkin University make their Amazon Prime Video debut in 2023, and there are already questions about what lies ahead Generation V season 2. Set immediately after The boys season 3, Generation V focuses on the young super students of Godolkin University’s School of Combating Crime – an institution that is at once obvious X-Men lampooning and recruiting tool for Vought International. The boys creator Eric Kripke has returned to develop the show, which will expand the universe of The boys and be on your own.

Amazon knew how popular Generation V would be when it entered development, and Generation V was confirmed for a second season even before the first arrived. In January 2023, it was reported that Amazon had opened a writers’ room to Generation V Season 2 to begin early development of the next chapter of The boys spin off. As predicted, the spin-off of The boys was a hit among Amazon Prime Video subscribers and now Generation V season 2 is officially on the way.

After months of development and production on season two, the latest news confirms that filming has wrapped in Generation V season 2. The news was broken by stars Maddie Philips and Derek Luh who each took to Instagram to celebrate the completion of the filming process for season 2. In her post, Philips shared a trio of photos of herself, Luh, and co-star Asa Germann in a production tent, and mentioned in the caption that she “(somehow) did it.” As for Luh, he shared a selfie, as well as a touching and candid photo of several cast members hugging each other on set.

The completion of the Season 2 production schedule likely means the series will quickly move into post-productionand a release window of 2025 is wide enough to accommodate a long editing process. While no one involved with the show has provided a more concrete release window, it’s assumed the show won’t arrive until the summer of 2025 at the earliest.
