While the 2023 Goosebumps Reboot wasn’t an instant ratings-topping success for Disney, it received generally favorable reviews and went over well with fans of RL Stine’s books and the general Disney+ and Hulu subscriber base. As details finally begin to surface about the second season, the latest news comes in the form of a full trailer for Goosebumps Season 2. Opening with teenagers Cece and Devin coming to visit their father, Anthony, for some fun and “Sure“Summer vacation, the Trailer Quickly kicks into high gear like Anthony warns the duo not to go into the basement. The reason is that he conducts strange experiments with plants that may have something to do with his older brother’s disappearance in 1994.
Anthony is accidentally exposed to the plants, and this causes him to act irrationallyIncluding smashing another person’s car. More supernatural strangeness happens to the teens, and the web begins to close around Anthony as a series of suspicious things lead back to his basement. All of this ties back to the overarching mystery of missing teens from the ’90s, and the trailer deftly hints at a surprising backstory.

Season 2 arrives in January
After a smash-hit debut season in late 2023, it only made sense that Disney+ and Hulu would be quick to order more. Now, more than a year after the first season aired, Goosebumps: The Vanishing (Season 2) is scheduled to premiere all 8 episodes on January 10, 2025. David Schwimmer runs a whole new Castle
In the wake of the renewal of the series season 2, it is now confirmed that Goosebumps Will take an anthology approach going forward. Since it has become an anthology, none of the cast members from the first season will reprise their roles. In the first piece of new casting for the upcoming second season, Friends Veteran David Schwimmer was cast as overworked single father Anthonywho is charged with taking care of his teenage son during a rainy summer.
Sam McCarthy and Jayden Bartels will play the roles of fraternal twins Devin and Cece, who are trying to adjust to their new lives with their dad, Anthony. Elijah Cooper will play CJ, alongside Galilea La Salvia as Frankie, and Francesca Noel as Alex. Meanwhile, Arjun Athalye is Sameer, Eloise Payet is Hannah, Christopher Paul Richards is Matty, and Kyra Tantao is Nicole, all of whom disappeared in 1994. Stony Blyden will play Frankie’s boyfriend Trey, while Sakina Jaffrey is the mysterious Ramona.

The new season will follow teenage siblings who, while visiting their father for the summer, stumble upon a mystery from the 90s. Anthony (the teens’ father) is desperate to find out what happened to his older brother in 1994, and the investigation involves mysterious plant matter infecting his skin. This causes Anthony to act irrationally, and probably left back to the mystery.
