Exciting crossover art imagines what an event that brings together Marvel Cinematic Universe DC stars and heroes from the Arrowverse and DCEU it might seem. Marvel Studios and DC have never had a live-action crossover, although – multiple times – heroes from the two biggest superhero universes have interacted in the comics. With James Gunn’s DC Universe just getting started, a live-action crossover seems unlikely for some time. However, Gunn revealed that crossover talks between Marvel and DC have taken place, and new realistic fan art shows how it could work.

On Instagram, artist @spdrmnkyxxiii brought to life an MCU and DC crossover that features heroes like Chris Evans’ Captain America and Henry Cavill’s Superman.

The fan art also includes Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Grant Gustin’s The Flash, and Billy Crudup’s Doctor Manhattan. The MCU’s Infinity Stones are present in the crossover’s art, raising the stakes for the event. With the MCU’s Multiverse Saga still having a few more years to go before it ends, there’s a small chance that one or more DC heroes could appear in future MCU films for a crossover. Fan art is part ultrasargentytnew MCU/DC crossover video.

What MCU and DC Crossover Art Means

It shows how exciting a live-action crossover would be

The MCU and DC crossover art is unofficial, so there is nothing in development regarding a crossover. However, this could very well change. Last July, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said ColliderWe will never say never“for an MCU and DCU crossover. Similarly, DC Studios creative chief James Gunn revealed in April 2023 that negotiations had taken place, saying:I’d be lying if I said we didn’t discuss it.” Gunn started out in the MCU before moving on to start the new DC Universe, which increases the chances of a crossover.

Doctor Manhattan, who is featured in Marvel & DC crossover art, could be used to unite the characters in live-action. He has enormous power. In the DC comic book Doomsday Clock, Doctor Manhattan recreates the multiverse. As such, the character could easily bring together heroes from the MCU, the Arrowverse, the old DCEU, and Gunn’s DCU. There are plenty of villains who could oppose the heroes, with Marvel’s Thanos and DC’s Darkseid being two of the possible threats to this live-action crossover if Dr. Manhattan doesn’t somehow become the antagonist.

Our Take on MCU and DC Crossover Art

A live-action crossover between Marvel and DC would be amazing

The MCU and DC crossover art is very exciting because it shows the intriguing possibilities such an event has. I would love to see Marvel and DC together in live-action, especially since the multiverse has become a popular part of superhero movies and TV shows over the last decade. However, I think such an event needs to happen in the future, allowing James Gunn’s DCU to establish itself first. Then, UCM and CC Movie and TV heroes could come together for what could become the highest-grossing film of all time.
