Y2K Trailer Is More Brutal Than All The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes
The first trailer of Y2K didn’t hold back
Y2K is a disaster comedy horror movie based on the year 2000 problem (aka Y2K), which led to the belief of a computer-induced apocalypse once the year 2000 arrived.
Rachel Zegler already has one big project with Disney’s live action Snow White Remake, but before she ventures into the fantasy world, Zegler will visit the horror genre in Y2K. Directed by Kyle Mooney in his directorial debut, Y2K is a disaster comedy horror movie based on the Year 2000 Problem (aka I2C), a potential computer error related to the formatting and storage of calendar data for dates in and after the year 2000. There was so much misinformation about I2C in the late 1990s That’s what led to the belief of a computer-induced apocalypse once the year 2000 arrived.
Y2K Takes the concept and takes it further and follows Ali (Jaeden Martell) and Danny (Julian Dennison), two outcast friends who crash a high school party on New Year’s Eve 1999 as Ali’s crush, Laura (Zegler), attends. But when the clock strikes midnight, Y2K turns out to be real, and party attendees start being attacked by homemade robotsVHS players and more. The first trailer for Y2K Shows the type of humor that the audience can expect from it, but also the graphic deaths provoked by the I2C breakdown.
Although The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes It was expected to have many deaths and some shocking and violent scenes, the trailers did not include any of these and, instead, focused on the story and the drama in it. If the Y2K Trailer already showed how brutal (although some of them comedic) his death scenes will be, the final product will certainly be even more graphic.
