The Princess Diaries 3 Has found its director. The upcoming Princess Diaries 3 is a long-awaited follow-up to the movie franchise starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews who adapted the Meg Cabot young adult novel series of the same name in a pair of features in 2001 and 2004. The sequel was announced in 2022 with Supergirl Writer Aadrita Mukerji attached, though it’s not clear if that’s still the case. It has also not been officially announced if Hathaway will be reprising her original role, although original producer Deborah Martin Chase is on board for the project.

Per Term, The Princess Diaries 3 has found its director in joy rideS. Adele Lim. Lim previously collaborated with Disney, the company producing the new sequel, when she wrote the screenplay for their 2021 animated feature Raya and the Last Dragon. The Princess Diaries 3 is the sequel to The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and is announced to be in development back in 2022. Anne Hathaway has expressed interest in returning to the role of Queen of Genovia, but the casting has yet to be Officially announced.
