Pokémon TCG Pocket offers free mythical island packs for the holidays

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is giving away some free packages and hourglasses for the holidays. The new trading card game has had a successful launch, with players captivated by collecting cards and battling friends (and strangers online). The game also hosted a series of missions and events, offering players free Wonder Picks and promotional cards in exchange for completing missions. Most of these missions are easy to complete, and players usually only need to participate in a few of the game's main features.

This week, Pokémon TCG Pocket is hosting one of your best events so farjust in time for the holidays. From now until January 1st, players can collect up to four Mythical Island 36-pack packs and hourglasses just for logging in. Players can collect free bonuses daily, with quests appearing in a special "Vacation" section of the quest screen. The holiday giveaway also comes with a special holiday frame to display cards.

The event began on Christmas Day, with players able to complete one login mission per day. By completing a minimum of four missions, players will also receive 24 Wonder Hourglasses. They're particularly useful because a new Wonder Pick event is happening right now featuring Electric-type Pokémon, including Zapdos ex. After players complete the mission, players will be able to collect their prize packs from the in-game gift section. Missions are only available for one week, so players will need to log in daily to collect all rewards.

The new winter frame features a Christmas tree and other holiday decorations, with a winter landscape featuring a Psyduck snowman outside. Ornaments featuring Pikachu, Dragonite and Delibird sit above the screen, providing the perfect holiday feel for a special Pokémon card. Like other frames, players can choose which card they want to display in the Display Board section of their card collection.
