Pokémon TCG players have hilariously confusing ideas for what to do with a fan's 12K energy cards

THE Pokémon Trading Card Game It depends on having the right balance of card types in players' decks, but one player may have gone a little overboard with their energy cards. Power cards are attached to Pokémon cards to allow them to use certain attacks. There are different types of energy cards for each type of Pokémon, such as Fire, Water, etc. Decks must contain exactly 60 cards, and of these, about 5 to 12 are typically energy cards in a normal deck.

Reddit user Icantenteranome have just a little more energy cards than they will need. A photo they posted on Reddit shows many tall stacks containing a whopping total of over 12,000 energy cards. Redditor asks the community for help figuring out what to do with all these power cards, and what TCG community does not disappoint with its suggestions.

Pokémon TCG players offer a lot of absurd ideas for the huge number of energy cards

Suggestions range from silly to nefarious

THE Pokémon TCG community has lots of ideas on what to do with so many energy cardsand most of them are just plain silly. Reddit user Able_Heat_9310 offers the obvious: “Store them on your desk in 43 stacks.” Since this is what the original poster is already doing, others have some additional ideas.

Editor bigbobbatea suggests making a deck with a Pokémon and all the energy cards. User Feeling-Estimate-267 expands on the idea, suggesting that the player can make a hilarious meme deck like this one, made up of “just 1 energy-scaling Pokémon, then 59 energy in the deck, and maybe attach as many energy from your hand to your Pokémon however you want.“Some other comments have really creative ideas for using the cards.”Make one of these!” it says Rare_Arugula_5663with the image of a pixel Pikachu made of energy cards.

Still others had some of the most unbalanced and ridiculous ideas. It's a good fire starter,” it says Casual Redditor77while rxkio_ he writes: “Preserve them for when war comes.“User General Philosophy40 has a particularly nefarious idea: “Store them in a bulk box, throw some collector Pokémon Charizards on top, add them to a storage unit, and ask your cousin to auction off the unit's stuff.“The original 1995 Charizard is the most valuable card on the market, with variants selling for as much as $580, according to TCG Playerthen this would be a terrible trap to fall into.

Our opinion: the best suggestion is to distribute the Pokémon TCG energy cards

Is it healthy or practical (or both)

My favorite suggestion is one of the only non-joke responses on the Reddit thread. Baybeeboo22 says that the owner of all these energy cards can “Leave some in your car to write notes to people and put them on your windshield wipers.Cards can be accompanied by a nice noteas Valiant_Darktanyan writes, like, “You looked a little tired, here's some energy to keep going!”Or, as Baybeeboo22 adds, some not-so-pleasant notes like the classic, “You suck at parking

I go to music festivals and I've seen people do this, and the recipients are always so grateful. Some people give them out based on “vibes,” like finding the right people to give the right type of energy card to, depending on what they think is “right” for them. It's always a success, whether the people receiving the card are Pokémon fans or not. Leaving a card with a note for a stranger to find is a lovely and healthy way to spread some positivity and use the huge stock of Pokémon Trading Card Game energy cards.
