ONE Pokémon The spinoff game revealed a shocking fact about one of the franchise's biggest villains. Each main series Pokémon The game featured one or more teams of villains, with schemes ranging from simple extortion to world domination. Of course, all of these criminal organizations can be stopped by a 10-year-old child, which usually shows that in Pokémon universe, even criminals have limits. However, a Pokémon The spinoff game wants to show that at least one villain is willing to horribly eliminate his enemies.
A recent datamine of upcoming Pokemon Masters EX The content revealed a new sync pair with Giovanni and Guzzlord. However, the flavor text for Giovanni reveals an additional horrifying fact about the Ultra Beast's use. The description by John notes that he uses "Guzzlord's insatiable appetite to rid Team Rocket of those who might get in their way." The implication here is that Giovanni is literally feeding Guzzlord his enemies, an Ultra Beast with an infinite appetite.
Why Giovanni has always been Pokémon's biggest villain
Only Giovanni could lead an attempt to conquer the Pokémon multiverse
Pokemon Masters EX was inspired for this new variant by Giovanni in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. In these games, an alternate universe version of Giovanni appeared in a special post-game episode leading Team Rainbow Rocket. This group featured several multiversal variants of other team leaders who attempted to use Ultra Beasts to conquer the multiverse. Ultimately, the group still fails in their quest, thanks to the actions of the player characters and their friends.
Giovanni has always had a cruelty not present in many other Pokémon villains. While others Pokémon the villains were flashier, Giovanni was one of the only villains who was a true criminalrunning multiple extortion and criminal schemes at the same time. Team Rainbow Rocket represented Giovanni's unchecked ambitions, and it seems his villainy has only increased, as he has no problem feeding a Pokémon with an infinite appetite to his enemies.
Our Take: More Pokémon That Eat People, Please
More Pokémon games should recognize that Pokémon are horrible
Using Guzzlord as a body disposal system not only makes a lot of sense, but it also reflects a terrifying fact about Pokémon that should be acknowledged more often. Pokémon are not only semi-sentient animals, but also powerful killing machines. Most Pokémon look cute and tame, but Pokémon games can and should recognize the innate danger of living in an environment Pokémon world.
Not only can hundreds of species of Pokémon easily kill humans, but bad people can easily use them to commit horrible crimes. Congratulations to Pokemon Masters EX for recognizing the dark side of Pokémon universe.
