Dynamax Beldum is the last max raid boss to appear in Pokémon GO As part of the psychic spectacular event. As well as being able to fight this steel/psychic-type creature, you’ll also get the chance to capture it and evolve it into the powerful Metagross. Before you can do that, however, you need to know its weaknesses and the best counters to take it down.
Following in the footsteps of Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet and Wooloo, Beldum is now appearing in Max Battles located on Power Spots across the map. Its final evolution, Metagross, is an imposing pseudo-legendary Pokemon that is one of the best attackers for Raid Battles, so having a Dynamax-capable version in your collection is sure to come in handy for future Max Battles.
Dynamax Beldum weaknesses in Pokémon GO
There are four vulnerabilities you can exploit
Dynamax Beldum has four weaknesses you can target: Dark, Fire, Spirit, and Earth-type attacks. None of these attack types are more effective than the others, so use whatever you have access to. Remember that only Dynamax Pokemon can enter Max Battles, and you’re only allowed three on your team, so your options will be quite limited.
Best counters for Dynamax Beldum in Pokémon GO
There is one Dynamax Pokemon you need
There aren’t many Dynamax Pokémon available in Pokémon GO Right now, however, luckily, there is one excellent Beldum counter that you may already have in your collection: Dynamax Charmander. The fan-favorite starter Pokemon has appeared in Max Raid Battles since the GO Big event on September 10, 2024. If you don’t have one yet, try looking for a Max Raid with Dynamax Charmander on the map. Defeat it in battle, and you’ll get a chance to capture it.
Considering that Dynamax Beldum is the first three-star max raid boss in the game and will be a more difficult opponent than the previous max raid bosses you have faced, it would be a good idea to fully evolve your Dynamax Charmander in Dynamax Charizard If you have enough candy. Make sure it can fire-type attacks, power it up if you have more candy to spare, and team up with other trainers where possible. Round out your team with A blastoise that can bite and a gradient that can mud shoot.
Finally, it’s good to know that Shiny Beldum is available in Pokémon GOSo there’s a small chance that the Dynamax Beldum you grab will also be a rare shiny variant. The odds of this happening are very low, but it would be a nice surprise to add another shiny Pokemon to your collection.
