Some of the card art dates back to the original Base Set, while other cards use art previously only found on promotional or Japan-exclusive cards.

In truth, 115 of Genetic Apex’s 286 cards feature all-new art for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. While it’s difficult to tell which art is unique at first glance, much of the newer art features a cleaner artwork and color style than the older pieces.

Cards not listed above feature art previously used in the Pokémon TCG. Some of the art appeared on cards that never appeared outside of Japan, while other cards used art that only appeared on promotional cards. Still, players should recognize the art on at least a few cards, especially those from classic sets like the Basic set or Fossil.
Genetic Apex full art cards are featured
New full-art cards are among the best Pokémon TCG cards of all time
The highlight of Pokémon TCG Pocket These are the new cards with full art in the game, all with new art in the game. The new cards follow the growing line of alternate art cards in physical format Pokémon Trading Card Game, with art pieces that often depict Pokémon in their natural habitat or expressing their personality outside of battle. There are 24 full-art “gold star” cards, plus six full-art “gold star” cards featuring former Pokémon cards. These last cards are equivalent to Rare Special Illustration cards, which are among the most expensive cards in the physical game.
Players quickly adopted these full-art cards, primarily because the quality of the art matches or exceeds that of the physical cards. TThe Pokémon Company chose some of its main artists to illustrate these cardsincluding Haru Akasaka, Nurikabe and AKIRA EGAWA. Many of these artists have distinct artistic styles, which helps make the new cards stand out to digital collectors. Since Pokémon TCG Pocket uses the same top-tier artists as the physical card game, the possibility that some could eventually become physical cards is appealing.
Will Apex gene cards come to the Pokémon TCG?
Many Pokémon TCG Pocket Cards Look Perfect for a Special Set
The Pokémon Company has not said whether there are plans to make physical versions of the exclusive digital cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket. However, if the game continues to work well, it looks like many of these cards would be perfect for a special set similar to the Pokémon GO set or the next Prismatic Evolutions set. Obviously, cards would need to receive updated stats and abilities to move according to the main Pokémon TCG game, but it still feels like the art is too good to not get a physical edition.
However, at least some letters of Pokémon TCG Pocket you will never see physical print. Immersive art cards don’t translate well to a physical edition, nor do full art cards that feature a 3D effect. These cards seem destined to remain digital-only, although it’s always possible that the immersive art could be incorporated into some kind of future product, like a rug or poster. The more popular Pokémon TCG Pocket becomes, the more likely it is that The Pokémon Company wants to profit by making a physical product to promote it.
