Pocket Camp players celebrate their last in-game birthday

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp It won’t be around for much longer, but before it goes offline the game is celebrating one last bittersweet anniversary. In August, Nintendo announced that the mobile game would shut down its servers. Fortunately, the title isn’t going away forever and will return in December as a one-time payment game rather than a freemium model. Despite this, the closure of the original Pocket Camp marks the end of an era and will not leave without thanking its most loyal fans.

Pocket Camp will go offline on November 28th, and one of its final events is celebrating its 7th birthday. Players who logged in within the last few days were presented with a banner with Isabelle and some villagers around a huge cakewith text that says “Thank you for 7 years!” Redditors joined in Ok_Chip_6299 as he bids a final farewell to the game as it celebrates its final month. The Redditor shared a screenshot of the celebration image, saying “This broke my heart.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp fans remember seven years of the game

Some fans have been playing Pocket Camp since day one

For some players, the game’s anniversary is also their camp’s anniversary. “I’ve been playing since the beginning,” it says FarkasIsMyHusbando/Reddit. Lots of other fans chimed in with their stories about what the game means to them and how much they will miss the social aspects.

Editor DOA-FAN tells a particularly touching story, saying that their daughter learned the game when she was little. They say that as she grew older, she forgot about the game, but DOA-FAN has been playing with her account ever since. They continue: “She’s 15 now, most of the time I show her our progress in the game so she can remember those good old days she had with this title when she was younger.“This incredibly sweet story is simply one of the many ways that Pocket Camp touched the lives and hearts of many players in the last seven years.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp gives fans one last wholesome treat

Players will be able to import their data into the new game

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp had one last parting gift for his players: the huge cake depicted in the 7th anniversary banner art. The birthday gift cake is about twice the height of the players and features a small camp on top. This gift is a fitting way to end the game, making it a wonderful and festive occasion rather than a sad one.

Many fans, like coconut_donuts on Reddit, they are using the cake as a focal point at their end of service AC: Pocket Camp parties. Fortunately, current players will be able to transfer their data from the free game to the new paid mobile title, allowing them to pick up where they left off when the new version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp airs on December 3rd.
