Some of the titles highlighted at discounts include Grand Theft Auto V for $19.99, Red Dead Redemption 2 for $19.79 and Resident Evil Village for $15.99, but many of the exact prices can only be seen if the user has an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

Several highly acclaimed titles are on the list
According to a recent Reddit post by excaliburpsSony has done sales like this in the past and opened them up to all users after the initial sale went live, according to the commenter shadow shine. Other users agreed with this statement, saying that they received an email that can confirm that the sale will eventually open to the public, but it could be a while before that.
While there is a wide selection of titles for fans to choose from, more than 240, as reported by MP1stsome users are a little disappointed with the lineup. According to the same Reddit post, user Prime Swan1461 states: “There is still no sale for wukong”, which made even more fans comment on how Wukong, Silent Hill 2and Astrobot are not discounted. With Astrobot Being named Game of the Year, it makes sense that it wouldn't end up on the list of discounted titles, but the other two not making the list seem to make some gamers upset.
Sale lasts for a limited time but includes several highly acclaimed titles
There are many reasons to join PlayStation Plus
I think Sony's surprise sale is a smart idea. Offering deep discounts on new and popular games to PlayStation Plus subscribers is a great way to reward those who stick with the service and encourage others to sign up. It is especially attractive that Several highly rated and recently released games are part of the sale. I'm interested to see if Sony will open the sale outside of PlayStation Plus, as some fans have theorized.
Either way, the surprise sale is a great opportunity for PlayStation Plus subscribers and anyone thinking about subscribing to the service to get some interesting titles. As it is only available for a short time and includes many popular games, this will likely increase the number of subscribers before the end of the year, but of course there is no guarantee of that.
