A Peaky Blinders Show star has confirmed that they are returning for the upcoming film. Created by Steven Knight, the hit BBC crime drama first aired in 2013, chronicling the life and criminal career of gang leader Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) in early 1900s England. The series came to an end with season 6 in 2022, but a Peaky Blinders The movie is confirmed to be moving forward on Netflix with Knight writing the script and Murphy reprising his role for a World War II story.
A new update for the Peaky Blinders Film now arrives from Termwith Original series star Stephen Graham told the publication that he will return for the film. Graham, who appeared in Peaky Blinders Season 6 star Hayden Stagg remained tight-lipped about his return, but says he is "Looking forward to seeing the boy again."
Although Graham has not confirmed that he will play Stagg, it is probably a safe assumption that he is not taking on a new character. It's not clear exactly how big a role Stagg will have in the upcoming movie's narrative.

Graham is one of a number of actors confirmed to appear in the Peaky Blinders Movie. In addition to Murphy, The film will feature newcomers like Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan and Tim Roth. It has not yet been announced which characters the actors will play, however, and whether they will be friends or enemies of Tommy. With Graham's latest comment, Tommy and Stagg are currently the only original series characters confirmed to return.
This does not mean, however, that more Peaky Blinders Cast members will also not appear. Filming on the project has now officially started, and accompanying the announcement was a behind-the-scenes image of Murphy and Knight on set. It is very likely that, with filming now underway, more information about returning actors will be revealed.

As for Stagg, himself, it is not yet clear how he will figure in the story. In season 6, Stagg is introduced as a dockworker and union convener, And he ends up in the Peaky Blinders crosshairs after stealing their opium. Stagg is spared for his misdeeds in the end, with Tommy actually forming something of a bond with him. It is possible that Stagg will return once again as one of Tommy's allies, although a lot may have changed between the end of Peaky Blinders Season 6 and where the movie picks up the story.

Hearing of Stagg's return is somewhat surprising as it is not yet clear whether more prominent characters such as Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson) will returnBut it could be seen as a sign that more announcements are coming. The Peaky Blinders The film isn't likely to release until late 2025 or some point in 2026, so there's still plenty of time for these types of casting announcements to arrive.
Stagg was one of the show's more interesting characters in season 6, and he has a surprising arc that seems ripe for further development in the film. Although it remains to be seen how Stagg will participate in these Peaky Blinders Movie, Graham's announcement is a welcome one.
