Peaky Blinders movie hyped by series newcomer Barry Keoghan

Barry Keoghan hyped the upcoming Peaky Blinders Movie. Originally a television series that ran for six seasons from 2013 to 2022, now a Peaky Blinders Movie is in development. Keoghan was recently announced to star alongside Don Actor Rebecca Ferguson and returning series actor Cillian Murphy. The The movie will be directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight. Keoghan’s character in the film is still unknown.

Talk to Indiewire At the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Keoghan provided an update on the development of the Peaky Blinders Film. Keoghan said he “Read the script and loved it.” He also teased that he’s been talking to co-star Murphy about the film and that it’s “Will be epic.” Keoghan did not provide any further details about what content would be in the script or what his character would be like. I wouldn’t be attached to it if I didn’t [read the script]. But yeah, I read the script and loved it and I chatted with Cillian about it and it’s going to be epic.

Although The Peaky Blinders Movie is getting more and more news attention between Keoghan’s casting and this tease, there is still a lot that remains unknown about the film. First of all, the only character for which details have been confirmed is Murphy, who will be reprising his role as Tommy Shelby from the TV series. Even then, what Shelby is up to during the events of the Peaky Blinders Film is unknown, as the plot of the feature film is also under wraps. The Peaky Blinders Season 6 ending left multiple storylines up in the air, so a lot could happen.

One thing to get excited for Peaky Blinders Movie is the reunion between Keoghan and Murphy. The two previously worked together on Christopher Nolan’s 2017 film Dunkirk. That said, the World War II movie has a massive ensemble, which makes it so Murphy and Keoghan’s dynamic can’t be on full display. In this movie, however, they will likely get more of a chance to interact, which makes for an exciting reunion. From the sounds of Keoghan’s latest quote, he and Murphy’s working relationship is already coming along well.

The Praise for the Peaky Blinders movies also means a lot of Keoghan. Although the actor has become increasingly successful in recent years, his filmography has not included a ton of films so far, but what he has done has often been outstanding.
