The arrival of Peacemaker season two is approaching DC Universe audiences as James Gunn announces a major update for John Cena’s TV show. Gunn’s DC Universe is set to begin in December 2024 with the Creature Commands premieres on Max, and more 2025 projects are also gearing up for their debut next year, including Peacemaker season 2. Although plot details in Peacemaker season two was limited, a new status report bodes well for the show’s return next year.
After filming for more than half a year, Gunn announced on social media that Peacemaker the second season has officially wrapped filming, with the DC Studios co-CEO pulling double duty throughout 2024, directing episodes of the new season while also working on Superman. At the time of publishing this story, Peacemaker season 2 has been confirmed to premiere in August 2025, with an exact date to be announced later. Gunn also confirmed that Peacemaker season 2 will take place after the events of David Corenswet Superman film.
