In terms of raw physical strength, the Warrior is the most powerful class in the world. Path of Exile 2 - and they only get worse as the endgame approaches. Unsurprisingly, the Warrior's main stat is Strength, which they use to subdue enemies with powerful blows. They can also inflict stun and use devastating area-of-effect attacks to gain control over the battlefield. The downside is that the Warriors are also one of the slowest Path of Exile 2 classes, requiring the player to plan their attacks in advance to ensure they hit at the ideal time.
Just like its main inspiration, the Devil series, Path of Exile 2 It's all about experimenting with different character buildstesting different combinations of skills, equipment, and Ascendancies (subclasses) to discover unique ways to play each individual class. While there are many ways to develop your Warrior throughout the game, a number of better options emerge in the game's later chapters. Combining this, here is the best version of the late-game Warrior Path of Exile 2.
Best gear for an Endgame Warrior built in PoE 2
Best Maces for an Ultimate Warrior
Majority PoE2 Classes specialize in one or two types of weapons. For the Warrior, maces are the main method of dealing damage. Maces come in one-handed and two-handed varieties, the main difference between the two is that one-handed maces also allow you to equip shields, while two-handed maces take up both weapon slots. Depending on skills, equipment, and Ascendancies (see below), Warriors can prioritize damage for a DPS build or balance attack and defense for a tank build. As they are better suited to a pure damage role, you better choose a two handed mace here.
Ideally, you will want to find or purchase a unique high-level mace with effects that enhance the Warrior's natural talents: Strength, stun, maximum HP or damage. If you decide to go one-handed, the Olrovasara Torment Club is an excellent choice with its electrical damage and attack speed boosts. Combine it with the Wulfsbane Painted Tower Shield to increase Strength, maximum HP, and the ability to permanently intimidate enemies the first time you hit them. Consider using a PoE 2 Loot filter to make it easier to find the things you really need.
Best Armor for an Ultimate Warrior
As for armor, Warriors specialize in heavy pieces: metal plates and chain mail. This means high defense, even on damage-focused builds. Yet, you should look for equipment that increases your attack strength and damage to make the most of your Warrior build. The Horns of Byden Rusted Greathelm helmet is particularly useful because it not only increases your Strength and increases the Rage you gain from melee attacks, but it also increases the likelihood of finding rare items to fill the rest of your inventory screen.
The best skill gems for an ultimate warrior build in PoE 2
Hammer of the Gods
Characters in PoE2 mainly, they gain new abilities by cutting Skill Gems, consumables of various levels that allow them to unlock and input new abilities. For an ultimate warrior, you'll probably want to prioritize cutting the Hammer of the Godswhich requires a level 13 Skill Gem. This is an incredibly powerful skill that summons a giant hammer and then slams it onto the battlefield for massive AoE damage. Just keep in mind that it takes a while to cast, so you'll want to have some good crowd control options and a sense of timing.
Seismic Scream
The Warrior also has several abilities with the Cry suffix that allow them to increase various stats. The best of them is Seismic Scream, which requires a level 11 Gem. This sends out a shockwave of damage that, if it hits a stunned enemy, increases the damage of your next attack.
Rolling Slam
To complement the previous two skills, you will need a few skills to help you stun enemies quickly and efficiently. For this, take Rolling Slam early (requires only a level 1 Skill Gem) and upgrade it as often as possible. This ability consists of two strikes, the first of which increases the enemy's stun while simultaneously pushing them back – great for lining up a Hammer of the Gods strike.
Shield Wall
Since Warrior is a melee class, you will often find yourself surrounded by enemies. To deal with the high damage, you'll want a skill like Shield Wall (level 7 skill gem) if you are using one-handed maces and shields. This ability summons a wall of rocks around you, which enemies will have to destroy before they can get to you. Each time they knock down a section of the wall, it detonates, causing damage. This may give you an important opportunity to heal or just relieve the pressure for a few seconds.
Best Passive Skills for an Ultimate Warrior Build in PoE 2
Crush
Every time you level up Path of Exile 2you'll need to choose a passive from an extensive skill tree, working your way through it by moving from one unlocked node to the next. You'll want to focus primarily on passive abilities that increase your Strength, as well as stacking stun or armor break, depending on which of the two status effects you've decided to specialize in. Smash is basically a must-have for any warriorincreasing attack damage by 20% - 40% on heavily stunned enemies.
Brutal
If you are planning a pure stun build, make sure you get the Brutal passive. This ability increases the accumulation of stun, melee damage, and overall strength.
Skull Crusher
Another important element of a stun build is the Skullcrusher. This skill increases the damage you deal to heavily stunned enemies.
Best Spirit Gems for an Ultimate Warrior Build in PoE 2
Overwhelming presence
In addition to level-up passives, you will also need to find and use Spirit Gems in Path of Exile 2 to grant various buffs. Of these, Overwhelming Presence is one of the most useful for a Warrior. It lowers the stun threshold of nearby enemies, making them easier to stun and allowing you to gain all of your stun-based attack bonuses provided by the abilities recommended above.
Herald of Ashes
It is also possible to take the Warrior down a fire damage route. If that's what you prefer, you'll want the Herald of Ash buff. This makes it easier to detonate enemies and increases the damage they take when triggered.
Ascendancies for an Ultimate Warrior Built in PoE 2
Warmipotent
Like all Path of Exile 2 class, Warrior has two Ascendancies (subclasses): Warbringer and Titan. Let's look at Warbringer first. This Ascension mainly depends on the Ancestral Warrior's Totem skilloffering the option to activate several bonuses when activating it: Answered Call to summon a minion and Wooden Wall to redirect damage to your totem.
Warbringer also increases your Warcry skills (like Seismic Scream). The Great Wolf's Howl unique ability allows you to ignore the cooldowns of your preferred Battlecry, so you can activate it as many times as you want (as long as you have the required Mana). Warcaller's Bellow also causes your Warcry to detonate nearby corpses, dealing a bit of extra damage.
Finally, Warbringer allows you to break your enemy's armor more efficiently while increasing your own defenses. Anvil Weight applies 10% of your normal armor breaking damage, and Implosive Blasts actually allow you to reduce the enemy's armor below 0 to deal extra damage. Renly's training sets your block chance at 40% regardless of your shield's stats (which isn't always an upgrade), and the Turtle Charm reduces your block chance in exchange for the ability to block hits even when you're not using Raise Shield.
Ultimately, Warbringer is a less focused and less offensive Ascendant and is therefore not recommended for a late-game Warrior build. It might work with the right combination of equipment and abilities, but the Titan subclass is much better in almost every category.
Titan
Titan is an offensive/defensive Ascendancy that focuses on increasing your armor and maximum HP, while also granting various bonuses to your Slam and stun attacks. Surprising Force will give you an additional 40% damage against heavily stunned enemies, while Crushing Blast causes all of your hits to heavily stun enemies that have reached a certain stun threshold. Earthbreaker gives your Slam abilities a chance to cause aftershocks, and Ancestral Empowerment increases the damage of all other Slam attacks you perform.
You will also receive 15% extra maximum HP with Mysterious Lineage, and your armor value will be increased by 50% with Stone Skin. These Ascension abilities will make it easier to stay alive in the heat of battle. A more unique ability, Colossal Capacity, gives you 20 extra inventory slots at all times. As a result of its versatility and raw power, we recommend Rise of the Titan for ultimate warriors.
This may be the most powerful way to develop your Warrior in the late game, but it's certainly not the only way. The absolute strength of the class and the PoE 2 The flexibility of the system means there are many ways to build an ultimate warrior. Please follow all of these recommendations with caution and keep in mind that all of the above options are subject to change and expansion during Path of Exile 2early access period.
