Palworld gets a free festive update right after Feybreak, with Christmas skins for favorite friends

Palworld surprised everyone by releasing several festive skins for popular friends. The base-building, creature-catching survival title only launched in January of this year and has already released several expansions, including one earlier this week. The game has over 150 different Pals, creatures that can be fought and tamed, and some of them now have Christmas variants.

Christmas skins were added as part of Pal World: Feybreak expansion and can be accessed right now within the game on all consoles where the game is available (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5). The looks and recolors can be seen in a small trailer on the website pocket pair YouTube channel, which shows Pals and their coaches all dressed up and surrounded by festive decorations like Christmas trees and wrapped gifts.

Palworld gives free Christmas skin to all players

There are six festive skins in total

This holiday season, Palworld gifted players with six new Christmas and holiday themes for several popular friends. This is the first Christmas that Palworld has been released since the game launched on January 19, 2024, so developers Pocketpair are celebrating in style. The six holiday skins added to Palworld in this update are the following:

• Pudding à la Gumoss

• Party night depression

• Cold winter style

• Chillet Ignis winter style

• Royal Ice Lion

• White Shadow Beak

Players don't need to do anything special to unlock the skins, which are available to everyone, no matter how long they've been playing. To equip the festive outfits, players will need Capture the friend for the corresponding outfit and build the friend's locker room into a base. Once these two requirements are met, players will be able to dress their Depressos, Chillets and the other four friends in their respective Christmas outfits.

Palworld: Feybreak's Christmas skins are a nice surprise

The expansion is already huge, even without gifts

Palworld announced its latest expansion during The Game Awards, where promised to surpass itself by going beyond the previous expansion, Sakurajima. The trailer and patch notes reveal that Feybreak adds a huge new island said to be six times bigger than Sakurajima's, lots of new friends to befriend, new weapons and buildings, and more. The expansion improves core mechanics, adds new features, and even implements an optional hard mode for players looking for a challenge.

Pal World: Feybreak was released on December 23rd and brought all these new mechanics and items to the title at once. The inclusion of Christmas costumes was a nice surprise for fansespecially since all players receive the new skins as soon as they construct the corresponding building in their base.

This is just the beginning for Pal World, which is growing in popularity and content despite facing legal troubles from Nintendo and Pokémon.
