Palworld announces free Halloween skins for all players

With Halloween coming, Pal World is getting into the swing of things, giving players some spooky takeaways to help their friends celebrate the season. Pal World It may not be known for its bone-chilling scares, but that shouldn’t stop the community from embracing the scariest night of the year. If players can dress well and look the part, then there’s no reason why their army of adorable friends can’t also have the opportunity to put together a thematically appropriate costume.

According to a trailer on YouTube, developer pocket pair revealed that four friends will have access to new Halloween-themed skins: Cattiva dons a Jack-o’-Lantern mask, Katress wears witch glasses, Pengullet embraces her inner pirate, and Croajiro goes all-in with a pointy hat and a wand.

All four cosmetics are now available to everyone and should be added to players’ accounts the next time they launch the game. Pocketpair notes that users will need at least one of the matching friends to unlock their threads so they won’t be walking around in nature in their new clothes.

Palworld also makes some small changes

It should be much easier to talk to friends

Halloween skins are without a doubt the most exciting part of the Pal Worldfrom patch 0.3.10, but they’re not the only new features. One of the more interesting improvements should allow players to type much longer messages in text chat, as Pocketpair has “significantly relaxed“the system character limit. While most gamers probably use a microphone and headset to communicate with friends, it’s good to know that those who can’t use these features can chat a little more easily.

In addition to this update, The update also eliminated some important bugs, including a memory leak on servers which resulted in suboptimal performance for many users. Several “critical game crashes” have also been resolved, as well as a clipping issue that caused larger Pals to push players through walls in the world. For a surprise update aimed at celebrating Halloween, it’s good to see Pocketpair making an effort to resolve some of the more urgent.

Palworld’s Halloween skins are cute

Who doesn’t like a free cosmetic

Pal World It might not be the kind of game one would imagine when thinking about Halloween celebrations, but I appreciate that Pocketpair is trying to do right by its player base. Some of the new skins look a little silly (Katress only getting a pair of glasses is disheartening), but I like the aesthetic anyway. The fact that these cosmetics are given away for free is also refreshing given how many developers would try to monetize them.
