Our opinion on CaitrÃona Balfe’s video
A bittersweet video makes way for a bittersweet ending
While it’s sad to see Balfe taking off his wig for the last time, it’s heartening to know that the show will have a definitive ending after such a strong run. Eight seasons is a rare feat at a time when many series are being canceled prematurely, and the television adaptation of this fictional universe will live on with the Outlander prequel spin-off, Blood of my blood. As Outlander season 7, part 2 approaches, Balfe’s post helps prepare audiences for the bittersweet ending to Claire and Jamie’s stories in season 8.
