A specific book story was teased for Outlander Season 7, part 2, and it’s the perfect twist on the beginning of Claire and Jamie’s story. The time travel fantasy series is coming to an end, with season 8 confirmed as the finale, although more books from author Diana Gabaldon are on the way. Before the television version of the story comes to an end, however, the second half of Outlander season 7 should come first. The trailer for this edition suggests that the plot will continue to follow the events of Gabaldon. An echo in the bonewhich means a significant parallel with Outlanderfirst season.

Claire receives a letter from Lord John Gray begging her to return to the colonies. to save the life of his injured nephew. This, of course, means another painful period for OutlanderThe star-crossed lovers, which extends further when Claire receives the news that Jamie has been killed. While there are some differences here, this is more or less the same as what happens in Outlander books, which gives more hints about what comes next.

Claire will be forced to remarry when she finds Jamie dead

Lord John Gray becomes Claire’s third husband

Lord Gray Outlander

In the book An echo in the boneClaire returns to the colonies to save Fergus and Marsali’s son, not Lord John’s nephew. However, the rest of what was caused by the Outlander The trailer for Season 7, Part 2 lines up well with Gabaldon’s story. Therefore, it is safe to assume that, Just like in the book, Claire will marry Lord John Gray in the next episodes.

Lord John offers his hand to Claire in An echo in the bone to save her from being arrested as a spy, and Claire has no choice but to accept if she wants to maintain her safety and freedom. This must be a very dramatic moment in the Outlander Season 7, and heartbreaking, as the audience knows how much Claire went through to be with Jamie after decades separated by time and spice. Claire’s Season 7 story parallels her marriage to Jamie in Season 1

This is the second time Claire has gotten married after being separated from her other husband

Outlander season 2 finale - Claire and Jamie (1)

At the beginning of Claire’s story, she was separated from her husband Frank when she mistakenly passed the stones of Craigh na Dun into the 18th century. Her initial goal was to return to her time with the man she loved, but instead, she was forced to marry Jamie Fraser to avoid being captured by Jonathan Randall. Ironically, this is quite similar to the story being told to Claire in Outlander Season 7, Part 2, as she will have no choice but to marry a third time to escape captivity and, likely, the pain of death.

The parallels in this plot prove once and for all that Claire and Jamie are soulmates, and Claire’s marriages to Frank and John serve different purposes in their respective destinies.

This time, however, both Claire and her new husband will maintain a love for Jamie. Still, this will not stop them from consummating their marriage, and a certain partnership develops between Lord John and Claire. This time, however, Claire will demonstrate the difference between her first two marriages. While she can let Frank go and fall in love with someone else, Claire will never be able to do the same with Jamie. The parallels in this plot prove once and for all that Claire and Jamie are soulmates, and Claire’s marriages to Frank and John serve different purposes in their respective destinies.

Outlander Season 8 will struggle to find a more perfect ending

Outlander doesn’t have much longer

Claire repeating her story from Season 1 (with a twist) is the perfect way to end Outlander– there’s a delicious balance to it. However, the fact that this is happening in the second half of Season 7, with all of Season 8 to go, implies that This will not be the final twist in the story Outlander. Claire and Jamie will have to go through another big adventure in the series’ final season, which is a little frustrating as it would upset the balance that would have been achieved if Claire’s third wedding arc and final resolution had been used as Outlanderis ending.

To make things even more challenging for Outlander Season 8, the series will be more or less independent. Gabaldon published nine of her planned 10 Outlander books, but the final installment won’t be released until after the TV show ends. While book 9, Go tell the bees that I’m gone, is defined after An echo in the bonehis story would be no way to end a series. Outlanderthe writers had to get creative in season 8, and There’s no telling what they came up with. Unfortunately, it’s hard to imagine that it would have the same poetic balance as the story planned for Season 7.
